I recently took a 2-day family trip to Taean

with my maternal grandparents. We wanted to cook up

something amazing for dinner!

But since I was traveling with my grandparents, hopping from store to store was out of the question.

and the quality looked absolutely top-notch.❤️

True to its location, they had everything from sushi to fresh sashimi,

and even sashimi rice bowls (hoedeopbap) and cold raw fish soup (mulhoe)!

I also loved that they had pre-packaged soup kits like spicy fish roe soup (altang) and spicy fish stew (maeuntang) ready to go.

Fresh Produce

What's the ultimate partner for Korean BBQ?

Fresh vegetables for wraps, of course!

They had a wide variety of greens—not just standard lettuce and perilla leaves.

And they were incredibly fresh too!❤️

Plus, there are plenty of sides that pair perfectly with meat,

like pickled radish paper (*ssam-mu*), which was great!

Of course, they had plenty of kimchi nearby too,

making it super easy to grab some to enjoy alongside the barbecue.
