Discover Rinrin, a top Hakata yakiniku spot in Fukuoka, loved by locals. Indulge in a Wagyu Omakase course and enjoy an all-you-can-drink option for amazing value.

What's better than discovering amazing food during your Fukuoka trip?
Nothing, right?!
For our first dinner in Fukuoka, we headed to Rinrin,
a Hakata yakiniku spot so popular with locals that
there wasn't an empty seat in sight.

If you're staying near Hakata Station,
walking there should be no problem.
I walked back to Hakata Station after eating,
and it was a cool evening, perfect for a nice stroll and helping with digestion.
We arrived just before 6 PM, thinking it was a bit early for dinner,
but already,
three groups of locals were dining in the rooms and at the tables.
It was truly a local favorite Hakata yakiniku spot!
Wagyu Omakase Course Recommendation
Without hesitation, we ordered the Rinrin Course!
Since we were Korean, they even provided us with a menu in Hangeul.
Naturally, we went for the course!
The Wagyu Omakase Course was an incredible value at 3,500 yen per person,
with a fantastic array of dishes.

For drinks, unlimited refills were available for 1,500 yen on weekdays,
and 2,000 yen on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays!
Considering a single draft beer usually costs 700 yen, isn't the all-you-can-drink option incredibly good value?
Everyone at the neighboring Japanese tables was enjoying the unlimited drinks too.

📍 Here's how I recommend ordering:
Course meal for one person at 3,500 yen + unlimited drinks
I'll definitely order this way again next time I visit.
The Course Begins
Included in the set menu was a salad,
which was actually Korean-style geotjeori (fresh kimchi salad).

This was the first time I'd encountered a restaurant serving kimchi in Japan,
even after visiting many times. You know how good it is with meat, right? Absolutely the best!
The prices were more affordable than yakiniku places in Nakasu or Tenjin,
and the spread was so impressive.
I knew we had hit the jackpot.

There was wasabi and minced garlic on the table,
and they tasted amazing when eaten with the grilled pork belly.

We started by eating the beef tongue.

Anyone who's tried beef tongue knows its unique chewiness, right?
It's even more delicious when paired with the geotjeori.

Next, we put beef tongue ribs on the grill.
This was my first time trying beef tongue ribs, and while they were incredibly juicy,
the savory richness was truly exceptional.

If I hadn't opted for the course and only ordered à la carte?
I think I would have ordered more beef tongue and beef tongue ribs.
Since these cuts aren't easily found in Korea, they felt even more special and delicious.
As expected from a place specializing in Wagyu,
every single piece of meat was tender and incredibly flavorful.

I had no idea the set menu would include such an amazing variety!
They even serve Korean-style namul, like bean sprouts and bracken fern!

Grilling the bracken fern on the hot plate and eating it with the meat...
it's just delicious, isn't it?! The combination is truly unbeatable!

This place offers incredible value, much better than what you'd find in the Tenjin or Nakasu areas.
It's a must-visit Hakata Yakiniku spot, and there are plenty of reasons to come here.
It's clear why the locals fill every seat!
Next up, the chicken thigh, grilled to crispy perfection starting with the skin...
was the ultimate in tenderness!

I noticed it the whole time we were grilling, there was absolutely no unpleasant odor,
and the interior was really clean.
When you look for Hakata yakiniku spots, sometimes the smoke inside
doesn't ventilate well, but not here at all.
The staff were so incredibly friendly that it just put me in a great mood.
Next, they brought out something called Sujitang?
The Korean menu listed it as 'Braised Tendon Meat',
but it was clearly Suji-jorim (braised beef tendon).

If you break the egg yolk and mix it in,
it's incredibly savory!! It was a little salty, but with white rice,
it tastes like a true 'rice thief' – you'll want to eat bowls and bowls!
I highly recommend ordering rice!!

They even changed the grill plate for us midway through, without us even asking.
Next came the 3-Cut Meat Set
featuring flap meat, skirt steak, and cheek meat.
The soy sauce marinade clung perfectly to every bite!

And the texture of the meat? Oh, it was incredibly tender!
I gave it a huge thumbs-up as I ate.

Hakata Yakiniku Rinrin offers a course meal where they thoughtfully select
all the cuts you'd want to try in Fukuoka.
Everyone else there, besides us, was local.
It felt so good to have found a true hidden gem!

The grand finale for the course meat was the assorted offal platter.
You could immediately see how incredibly fresh it was.

With beef offal (horumon), freshness is absolutely key.
And the cut that really makes you feel that freshness the moment you taste it is the beef liver.
Grilled liver with that smoky aroma is the ultimate pairing for a cold draft beer!

It's hard to find a place with absolutely no unpleasant odor and this level of freshness.
So, if you're looking for a truly authentic yakiniku spot in Hakata,
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The last dish in the Yakiniku course was Gukbap!
It was a warm soup with beef.
It felt similar to an egg drop soup, but with the added texture of meat,
it didn't just feel like Gukbap; it made me want to have another drink, if you know what I mean?

This Gukbap instantly made me crave soju!
I think older folks would absolutely love it.
I was incredibly full,
but the moment I took a bite of the final dessert, yuzu sherbet,
it felt like I was eating premium yuzu gelato.
Sherbet after meat, who would have thought?
I couldn't believe how satisfying this course meal was.

For such a generous and high-quality Yakiniku course,
the price was just 3,500 yen.
3,500 yen per person for a whopping nine different cuts of meat?
Including the rice and dessert, it was a total of 11 courses!
Isn't that incredible value for money?
If you go on a weekday, unlimited alcoholic or soft drinks
are an additional 1,500 yen per person.
So, for a total of 5,000 yen, you get the full meat course,
plus unlimited draft beer or highballs.
It's really not easy to find a Yakiniku restaurant with such great value
in Fukuoka.
There was a good reason why locals kept pouring in and it was
hard to find an empty seat;
this was truly a **Hakata Yakiniku hotspot**.

There were individual counter seats perfect for solo diners or those having a drink alone,
and tables in the main hall could accommodate anywhere from 2 to 12 people.
They also had private rooms, which seemed ideal for families who prefer a quiet meal.
The counter seats and hall tables were already full of customers,
so I couldn't even take pictures of them ㅠ

I have a feeling I'll be revisiting Hakata Rinrin
on my next trip to Fukuoka.
