Haiyi International Qingdao Review: Family Stays with Ocean Views

If you’re planning a trip to Qingdao, China, with family or friends and seeking the perfect place to stay, I can’t recommend the Haiyi International Hotel enough.

The heart of any Qingdao trip is undoubtedly 5.4 Square, and the Haiyi International Apartment is situated right in front of it. It's also conveniently close to Wanxiangcheng (MixC), a major shopping center teeming with fantastic restaurants. This makes it an ideal spot for sightseeing and exploring!

This hotel is already well-known among savvy international travelers for its exceptional value.

Haiyi International Hotel offers a variety of rooms that can accommodate anywhere from two to five guests. The type I booked was the Lux Two-Bedroom Ocean View Suite, which featured a living room, a kitchen, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms.

The biggest reason I chose this accommodation was the ability for my family to have separate rooms while still having a shared common area. The sofa and large dining table were perfect for spending quality time together.

On clear days, the views of Qingdao's ocean and cityscape are absolutely breathtaking. You won't even need to visit a separate observation deck!

The largest bedroom featured a comfortable double bed and also offered stunning ocean views directly from the room. While it was cloudy on the day I arrived, the sun came out the next day, allowing us to fully enjoy the spectacular scenery.

The master bathroom in the large bedroom included a spacious bathtub, cleverly designed so you could enjoy the view while soaking. It was incredibly roomy!

One thing I was a little worried about when booking was the transparent window between the bathroom and the bedroom. However, in reality, it was only slightly sheer, and there were curtains available to draw for privacy, so it wasn't an issue at all.

Even though it's a residence-style accommodation, it had all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel: toiletries, bathrobes, bottled water, a safe, a coffee maker, and even an umbrella. Towels, water, and disposable items were generously replenished throughout our three-night stay.

The smaller bedroom where I stayed also had a double bed, a small pantry, and a compact bathroom with a shower.

Another bedroom came equipped with a table and chairs, though we didn't end up using it much during our stay.

There was also a convenient half-bathroom (sink and toilet) in the living area, which was quite spacious and handy for quick washes.

Having a separate kitchen is a huge bonus, especially for families with children or if you want to prepare simple meals. While kitchen appliances aren't typically stored in the room, you can request them. A washing machine is also available for guest use!

When we wanted to order takeout, we simply placed the order to the hotel lobby, and a robot delivered it right to our door. For any other requests, a quick message was all it took for the staff to assist us – excellent service!

My family gathered around the dining table every day, chatting and enjoying our takeout meals. It was a wonderful time, and the Haiyi International Apartment perfectly met all our needs!💛
