I went with the Sky Capsule (Mipo → Cheongsapo) + Beach Train (Cheongsapo → Songjeong → Mipo) course, and it was a highly satisfying itinerary.
First, take the Sky Capsule from Mipo to Cheongsapo, explore Cheongsapo, and then transfer to the Beach Train – that's the course.
The Sky Capsule departing from Mipo runs on tracks closer to the ocean than those departing from Cheongsapo, offering fantastic open ocean views. That's why Mipo-departure capsule tickets are more popular.
In Cheongsapo, you can also explore the famous Slam Dunk crossing, cafes, and the Daritdol Observatory.
Afterward, take the Beach Train to Songjeong Beach, enjoy the beach, visit some great restaurants, and then return to Mipo. This way, you can fully enjoy Busan's sea, and the route flows smoothly.
If you have extra time, I recommend getting off at an intermediate stop to explore cafes or observatories.

Honestly, I had no idea booking would be this difficult, so I procrastinated... and ended up missing my desired date, using an 'open run' on the day instead. 🥲

My Impressions While Riding
The Sky Capsule moves slowly, which was perfect for savoring the scenery. With Busan's sea unfolding outside the window, I immediately understood why it's so popular.
However, since there's no air conditioning, it can get a bit hot in the summer.
That's why your boarding time is even more important! (Can you imagine how hot it would be inside a non-air-conditioned train at 1-2 PM in the middle of summer...?)
On the other hand, the Beach Train has excellent air conditioning, making it much more comfortable even in peak summer. The ability to move freely between multiple stops was a huge advantage.
