Busan Gwangalli Cafes
ttt Tea House & Casa Busano Terrace

Hello, Global Explorers! It's Duri Map here, ready to share some amazing spots.☕
A trip to Busan isn't complete without soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Gwangalli Beach, and today, I'm thrilled to introduce two incredible cafes along its famous strip!
If you're seeking a quiet, healing escape, ttt Tea House is your sanctuary. But if you're ready to dive into Gwangalli's lively energy, Casa Busano Terrace is calling your name.
ttt Tea House |
📍 ttt Tea House

📍 Address: 4th Floor, 269 Gwangalli Beach Road, Suyeong-gu, Busan
🕐 Hours: Daily 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Parking around Gwangalli can be tricky, so if you're planning to drive, I highly recommend grabbing that coupon in advance.
ttt Tea House is perched on the 4th floor of a building right in front of Millak Waterfront Park. The moment the doors open, the breathtaking Gwangandaegyo Bridge unfolds through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.

I was lucky enough to be the first customer, which meant I captured this incredible shot!
The entire Gwangalli Beach stretches out below, and the view left me speechless from the moment I walked in.

While the photos are beautiful, the actual atmosphere was even more serene and tranquil.
With its elegant beige marble interior and those magnificent windows, it's a space where you can simply gaze at the ocean and feel your worries melt away.

I particularly recommend the window seats.

The Gwangandaegyo Bridge and the ocean are right in front of you, and to your right, Gwangalli Beach stretches far into the distance. It was the perfect spot to unwind at the end of a trip.
Even though it was a bustling August day with crowds and loud music outside, the atmosphere inside ttt Tea House was miraculously calm and composed.
We ordered the Dongbangmiin Sherbet and Sejak tea.
They brought our order to our table on a trolley and expertly brewed the tea right in front of us, explaining each step in detail.

The Dongbangmiin Sherbet was ~$9, and with the first sip, a delightful burst of floral and grassy notes instantly awakened my senses.
It evoked the image of a graceful, elegant lady sipping tea. It's a refreshing lychee sherbet poured over Dongbangmiin tea, a type of oolong.
The aroma was subtle yet clean, making it a wonderful dessert-like treat.
The Sejak tea was ~$8. Since it was summer, I opted for it iced.

While I'm not a green tea connoisseur, I noticed it had almost no bitterness and a truly exquisite aroma.
Sejak itself is made from young tea leaves, which likely contributes to its smooth and delicate profile, perfect for slow, contemplative sips.
They brewed it at just the right temperature, allowing me to savor every sip without any harshness.
The prices here are a bit higher than your average cafe.
However, considering the breathtaking view, the serene ambiance, and the focus on a quality tea experience, it felt entirely worth it.
If you're in Gwangalli and prefer a quiet tea house over a bustling cafe, I wholeheartedly recommend ttt Tea House.

Casa Busano Terrace |
📍 Casa Busano Terrace
249 Gwangalli Beach Road, Suyeong-gu, Busan, 1st Floor
📍 Address: 1st Floor, 249 Gwangalli Beach Road, Suyeong-gu, Busan

🚗 Parking: Paid parking lot behind the building
If you search for cafes in Busan, Casa Busano is almost guaranteed to pop up as one of the most popular spots.

There are two branches along Gwangalli Beach: the Gwangalli branch and the Terrace branch. We visited the Terrace branch, which, as its name suggests, boasts a fantastic outdoor terrace.

People were leisurely sipping coffee at the outdoor terrace and bar seats, and with Gwangalli Beach stretching out right in front, it felt just like being at a chic beach cafe abroad.

It was quite warm during our midday visit, so we opted for a window seat indoors.
I imagine sitting on the terrace would be absolutely perfect on a cooler, breezier day, perhaps in the fall.
As an espresso bar, you absolutely must try their espresso here.
The first sip is rich and nutty, but when you stir in the sugar settled at the bottom, it's a delightful revelation that truly wakes you up!
They even rub a lemon peel around the rim of the cup, which adds a subtle, refreshing aroma to each sip!

Even if you're not typically an espresso drinker, this is an experience worth having!
We also ordered a croissant, which had a rich buttery flavor that paired wonderfully with the coffee. It's a great option for a light brunch.
Casa Busano is less about quiet relaxation and more about immersing yourself in the lively Gwangalli vibe. If you want to gaze at the ocean, people-watch, and truly feel like you're on vacation, you'll love it here.

Final Thoughts |
Both cafes offer stunning ocean views of the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, but their atmospheres couldn't be more different.
ttt Tea House is perfect for those looking for a serene pause during their travels. It's the ideal spot for a quiet moment with a fine cup of tea, gazing out at the sea.
Conversely, Casa Busano Terrace is highly recommended for anyone wanting to fully embrace Gwangalli's energetic spirit.
With an espresso in hand, you'll feel like you've been transported to a vibrant beach destination overseas.
If you're trying to decide on a cafe in Busan's Gwangalli, either of these choices will make for a memorable experience.
