Gupo Son Kalguksu Review 2026: Quick Bites Near Gupo Station
Craving a speedy, satisfying meal before your train from Gupo Station? Gupo Son Kalguksu offers delicious, authentic Korean noodles and more, just steps from the platform. Perfect for travelers!

If you're catching a train from Gupo Station and don't have much time to spare, I've found the perfect spot for a quick and delicious meal. Right outside the main entrance of Gupo Station, you'll find a restaurant called Gupo Son Kalguksu. Its proximity to the station means you won't have to worry about a long walk or missing your train.

This gem is literally steps from Gupo Station. Just exit the station, turn right, and you'll immediately spot the Gupo Son Kalguksu sign. It couldn't be easier to find!

My husband and I went for dinner and ordered two bowls of Kalguksu and one Chungmu Gimbap. Each dish was 7,000 KRW, which is about ~$5. Considering today's prices, getting a satisfying meal for under ~$7 per person is quite a steal!

Our food arrived incredibly fast, about 5 minutes after we ordered. This quick service is a huge plus, especially for those worried about making their train connection.

The Kalguksu itself boasted a rich anchovy broth, giving the soup a truly deep and satisfying flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not too soft and not too firm, making each slurp delightful.

A little bit of the chopped chili pepper served on the side added a spicy kick that really elevated the taste for me!

The Chungmu Gimbap was a fantastic accompaniment. The seasoned squid and fish cake side dishes were so flavorful that I couldn't stop reaching for them. It's the perfect pairing if you feel like Kalguksu alone might not be quite enough, and it's great for sharing between two people.

Plus, you can even get the Chungmu Gimbap to-go! If you're really pressed for time or want a snack for your train ride, grabbing a takeout order is a smart move.
