Goom Nakasu Hotel Fukuoka Review 2026: Spacious & Value
Discover Goom Nakasu, a top-rated Fukuoka hotel near Tenjin-Minami Station. Enjoy spacious rooms, an in-room kitchen, and laundry facilities at an unbeatable price.

When I'm choosing accommodation, location is key, but I also prioritize room size and value for money.
In Japan, hotels are notoriously compact, so finding a budget-friendly option often means sacrificing either space or a good location.
However, during my recent Fukuoka trip, I discovered **Goom Hotel Nakasu**, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It boasts an excellent location, an affordable price, and surprisingly spacious rooms!
Goom Hotel Nakasu Location

The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Tenjin-Minami Station's Exit 6.
Initially, I thought a 5-minute walk might be a bit far, but even in the height of summer, it was manageable. Being in the Tenjin-Minami area meant that nearby restaurants and the Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall were also just a 5-minute stroll away.
Goom Hotel Nakasu Price

As I mentioned, this hotel offers incredible value.
I booked a Standard Double Room for two nights and paid **~$95**.
That works out to about ~$47 per night. Honestly, finding a hotel in Fukuoka for around ~$47 a night, outside of capsule hotels, was a first for me!
Trip.com | Yeogi Eottae | Agoda |
As of September 2026, I compared prices across different platforms, and Agoda consistently offered the best rates.
Rooms tend to book up quickly, so it's a good idea to check prices as soon as you have your travel dates set.
Check-in Process
Check-in: 3:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM

Goom Hotel operates as an unmanned hotel, so I completed my check-in independently at the kiosk on the first floor.
The kiosk supports multiple languages, including English. I didn't pre-check-in, opting to search by name, and the entire process took only about 3 minutes.
There was a brief video call for identity verification during the process, but it lasted just about a second.

Once self-check-in is complete, your room number and entry passcode will appear on the screen. Make sure to take a photo or write it down!
⚠️Don't forget it, or you won't get into your room!

Typically, apartment-style accommodations often provide physical keys, which can be a hassle to keep track of during your travels.
But Goom Hotel uses a digital door lock, so there's no need to carry a separate key, making things much more convenient.

Upon entering, the room had a typical apartment-style layout, extending long and narrow inside.
The Standard Double Room is a comfortable 226 sq ft (21㎡), which is quite spacious by Japanese business hotel standards.
The queen-sized bed also provided ample space, making it perfectly comfortable for two people.

The room came equipped with two bottles of water, a microwave, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, and plenty of towels—four hand towels and four body towels.

To the left of the bed, there was a convenient table and chair. I used it as a vanity and also as a dining table for late-night snacks.

The sink area only had toothbrushes. The shower room, however, featured a small bathtub, along with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

One of the biggest perks of an apartment-style stay is the ability to do some light cooking right in your room!
With a sink, induction cooktop, refrigerator, and microwave, it's incredibly useful if you want to buy ingredients and prepare simple meals.

My absolute favorite feature was the in-room washing machine!
Especially during summer travels when you sweat a lot, being able to wash and dry clothes right in your room was incredibly convenient for longer stays.
Overall, there wasn't much to complain about, but if I had to pick, there were two minor points.
First, as an unmanned hotel, the self-check-in process might be a bit challenging for older travelers who aren't tech-savvy.
Second, there was a bit of dust, which might be noticeable if you're particularly sensitive to cleanliness.
However, considering the excellent location, generous room size, and unbeatable price, these minor points are easily overlooked. I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay overall.
