While grilled conger eel and anchovy ssam-bap (rice wraps) are also famous in Gijang, on this particular day, my international friend was set on trying the Abalone Porridge Only set.

The first thing you get when you order abalone porridge here? It's the DIY pancake! This is definitely a signature experience at Gijang Kkeutjip.

You head over to the outdoor pancake station and cook your own golden-brown pancakes. By the time you return to your table with your delicious creation, you'll find it already laden with a full spread of side dishes!

While the food was absolutely superb and incredibly satisfying, if I had to pick one minor drawback, it would be the waiting area.

When there are many groups waiting, you might have to wait outdoors, which can be a bit challenging on hot days like we've had recently.
