While it's free, we visited on a weekend and it was quite full, so allow a little extra time to find a spot.

however, individual restaurant hours can vary, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm before your visit.
2. Our Experience at Gijang Haenyeo Village

My family of four and I visited, and since our first choice was packed,
we ended up at Gideok's Mom (기덕이엄마).

Most of the restaurants in Haenyeo Village offer similar menus and prices,
so you're likely to have a fantastic experience no matter which one you choose.

We ordered the assorted seafood platter for ~$36,
and they prepare it fresh right after you order.
(We did have a bit of a wait since it was a busy day!)

A steaming bowl of mussel soup arrived shortly after we placed our order.

Just look at this incredible seafood spread! Isn't it amazing?!
The platter featured a delightful variety of fresh seafood, including succulent abalone, unique sea squirt, plump shrimp, and even live octopus (sannakji). It was so incredibly fresh – the perfect accompaniment to a bottle of soju!

One of the biggest draws of Gijang Haenyeo Village is the chance to enjoy your meal with breathtaking views of the Gijang ocean. It truly enhances the whole experience! Haha.
After our feast, we took a leisurely stroll along the coastline, which was the perfect way to cap off the experience!
3. Our Verdict
Gijang Haenyeo Village had been on my radar for a while – I'd saved it on my map after seeing it pop up on Instagram, thinking 'I need to visit soon!'
Coincidentally, my dad also saw it online, so it became a perfect spot for a family outing.
It was clear upon arriving that this village is a beloved spot for families, friends, and couples alike.
While it might not be a 'mind-blowing, best meal ever' kind of place, the fresh seafood offered great value for the price, and the unparalleled experience of dining by the Busan sea truly made it special.
If you're planning a trip to Busan, I highly recommend adding Gijang Haenyeo Village to your itinerary! :>
