Geoje Stay Location & Parking

Geoje Stay is conveniently located in Gohyeon-dong, directly across from the Gohyeon Market Public Parking Lot. You'll find a good selection of restaurants and cafes nearby, and the market itself is perfect for grabbing some quick snacks or essentials.

Keep in mind that many traditional markets in Korea tend to close early, so Gohyeon Market gets pretty quiet after 6:00 PM. It can feel a bit deserted in the evenings with fewer people walking around. However, it’s not unsafe; there are still main roads and a few restaurants open, so there's no need to worry.

The main reason I highly recommend Geoje Stay is its incredible price. While there's dedicated parking on the first floor, if you're a pedestrian traveler without a car, you can opt for a 'no parking' room package.

Choosing the 'no parking' option means you can enjoy a private single room with an en-suite bathroom for less than ~$19 per night on weekdays. Even if you do have a car, parking is hassle-free as the Gohyeon Market Public Parking Lot charges a maximum daily fee of just ~$3.
Check-in

The second floor houses the Dongbaekdang Cafe, while floors 3 through 6 are dedicated entirely to guest rooms. You'll complete your unmanned check-in at the kiosk on the 3rd floor.

Both check-in and check-out can be done easily via the kiosk. Sometimes, if you book Korean accommodations through international sites like Agoda or Trip.com, you might encounter an error when searching for your name. Often, you'll need to search using the English name you registered with on the site.

The kiosk will also ask about your parking needs. If you've booked a package that includes parking, you can use the designated spaces on the first floor of the building.

Each floor features a lounge area equipped with a water dispenser, trash cans, a refrigerator, cereal, and a ramen machine. These amenities are available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).
Guest Room

Stepping inside the room, you'll find it's comparable to a basic motel, but perfectly comfortable for just sleeping. It was completely free of any strange odors, and the bedding was spotlessly clean.

There's no particular view from the window as it faces the building behind. However, the room is well-equipped with hangers, a TV (with Netflix and TVING for your entertainment), an electric kettle, and complimentary disposable amenities.

The mini-fridge contains two bottles of complimentary water.

There's a small table and reliable wireless internet, making it suitable for getting some laptop work done. As someone who prioritizes a good workspace over a bed, any accommodation with a table and chair like this gets my seal of approval!

The bathroom is perfectly functional for showering and washing up. For ~$19 a night, it's definitely a solid deal, wouldn't you agree?

I've introduced you to Geoje Stay, a fantastic budget-friendly accommodation in Geoje City, near the Gohyeon Market. Geoje has seen a surge in popularity recently, and for good reason! This was my first trip to Geoje, and I truly enjoyed its unique charm. If you're looking to save on lodging and spend more on delicious food and exciting experiences, then Geoje Stay comes highly recommended.

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. You can check in and out yourself using the self-service kiosk located on the 3rd floor of the building.
