Geoje Samsung Hotel (거제삼성호텔) Honest Review: Enjoying the Summer Pool and How to Book at the Lowest Price

For an anniversary trip and summer vacation,

I went on a trip to Tongyeong (통영) and Geoje (거제)!

For 2 nights and 3 days, I spent half the time traveling in Tongyeong

and the other half enjoying a trip in Geoje.

Among them, I chose the Geoje Samsung Hotel as my accommodation in Geoje,

and I'm going to review it for you.

A clean place to stay, convenient amenities,

and even a breakfast buffet —

it truly had everything!

I'll meticulously record everything from the Geoje Samsung Hotel's location, breakfast, and swimming pool,

to some super helpful tips.

Geoje Samsung Hotel Basic Information

The Geoje Samsung Hotel is located in Jangpyeong-dong (장평동), Geoje-si (거제시),

on Jangpyeong 3-ro (장평 3로).

Since the hotel is located on a slight hill,

the views are absolutely fantastic.

It's a location that could be both an advantage and a disadvantage!

It's situated in a quiet environment, perfect for enjoying a leisurely summer vacation,

allowing you to temporarily escape the city noise.

If you're visiting by car, there's Homeplus (홈플러스), a market, and D-Cube Department Store (디큐브백화점) in the nearby main commercial area,

so I recommend stocking up on groceries beforehand!

Parking was free, so I could use it without any worries, and the parking lot is spacious,

so there's no problem even on weekends or during peak season.

What's more, if you drive an electric car,

there are EV charging stations available, though they are paid.

If you're looking for a peaceful hotel, this is the perfect spot.

Inside Geoje Samsung Hotel

As you step into the lobby, you're immediately struck by its cleanliness,

and the lush green scenery visible through the large windows

looked just like a painting.

There was a large bear plushie on one side, and so many people were taking photos with it.

I also snapped a commemorative photo with the bear!

My first impression? In a word, it felt 'peaceful'.

It felt like I'd arrived at a resort-style destination, not a busy, hectic sightseeing trip.

It immediately made me think, 'This is where I can truly relax!'

Its impeccable maintenance particularly stood out

leaving a great first impression.

Geoje Samsung Hotel Usage Tips

Here are some tips to truly enjoy your stay at Geoje Samsung Hotel!

First, choosing your room view is key.

The Mountain View offers lush natural scenery,

while the Harbor View lets you gaze at the stunning Geoje Harbor (거제항).

Personally, I found the Mountain View more relaxing.

Second, I recommend visiting the pool in the morning!

It's much more pleasant when there are fewer people.

Third, go for breakfast as early as possible.

I suggest visiting before 8 AM.

Fourth, swim caps are mandatory at the pool,

so if you forget yours, you can rent one for a fee at the hotel.

Fifth, make the most of the various amenities

inside the hotel.

You can enjoy the sauna and fitness center for free,

making it a truly value-packed stay.

Geoje Samsung Hotel Amenities

I found the hotel's gym

particularly useful.

Working out on the cycles and

treadmills by the window with a great view felt incredibly therapeutic.

The pool was a good length and

well-maintained, a favorite among guests.

They also have a kiddie pool, which I highly recommend

for families.

For 'fighting fire with fire' (Korean idiom for sweating out the heat), I highly recommend the sauna!

The powder room had neatly arranged amenities

and stylish lighting, which I really appreciated.

What I Missed at Geoje Samsung Hotel

One minor drawback was that due to its location,

a car is essential rather than public transport.

Geoje (거제) itself is a place where having a car makes

getting around much easier, so I definitely recommend driving to the hotel.

It's located a bit remotely, so I was a little disappointed

that there weren't many restaurants nearby!

Overall Review of Geoje Samsung Hotel

Despite these points, I still feel great about choosing

Geoje Samsung Hotel for my summer vacation.

Both the hotel interior and its amenities were wonderfully maintained,

making for a pleasant vacation throughout.

I especially recommend the breakfast buffet, the pool,

and the gym.

While the location had a slight inconvenience,

it's a place where having a car can truly enrich your trip.

Visit if you're looking for a peaceful 'hocance' (hotel vacation),

a couples' trip, or a relaxed getaway with family!

With scenic mountain views, cozy rooms,

and perfect facilities, it truly made for a happy Geoje trip.
