Geochang Healing Land Guide 2026: Y-Bridge & Spa
Explore Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land! Get essential weekend parking tips, discover the easy Haneulgubi deck path, and relax at Gajo Hot Springs.
Whenever you are planning a weekend getaway with the family,
a few realistic worries always pop up first.
Is parking going to be a nightmare?
Will the trails be too steep for my parents' knees?
Are the kids going to complain about walking?
We have all been there.

Not long ago, we took our family on a day trip
to Geochang, Gyeongsangnam-do.
After experiencing it firsthand, with its short walking distances
and stunning natural landscapes,
I knew this was a foolproof destination for a family vacation.
This wonderful place is the Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land.
Today, I am sharing our personal experience
and a complete guide to planning the perfect
Geochang day trip itinerary.
Insider Parking Tips for Geochang Healing Land

On weekends, parking is the most important detail!
When we first set off, we almost plugged the main entrance
of Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land directly into our GPS.
I am so glad we looked it up beforehand!
To manage crowds and ensure safety on weekends,
private vehicles are often restricted from entering the main gate parking lot.
If you drive straight up there, you might have to turn right back around.
If you are visiting on a Saturday or Sunday,
search for this location in your navigation app instead:
Gajo Community Center Parking Lot 2
449-13 Suwol-ri, Gajo-myeon, Geochang-gun
The parking lot is surprisingly spacious
and very well-organized.

Best of all, there is a free shuttle bus running continuously
to Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land,
making the ride incredibly smooth for parents and seniors.
You can easily load strollers or wheelchairs into the luggage compartment,
which is why so many families with young kids use this service.
An Easy-Walking Paradise for Parents and Kids

Once you step off the shuttle bus, you will immediately see signs
pointing toward the famous Geochang Y-Shaped Suspension Bridge.

The direct hiking trail up to the suspension bridge
is quite steep, which might be a bit too strenuous
on older knees and joints.

Thankfully, they recently opened a beautifully constructed
wooden boardwalk called Haneulgubi Road.
By following Haneulgubi Road,
anyone can comfortably reach the Y-shaped suspension bridge
via a gentle, barrier-free slope.

Recommended Geochang Healing Land Route
Shuttle Drop-off → Stroll along Haneulgubi Road
→ View the Y-Shaped Suspension Bridge
→ Gyeonam Waterfall → Native Botanical Garden
Winding through the dense pine forest,
the trail was incredibly peaceful and the air was so crisp.
It felt like a pure forest therapy session with every step.

We only had time to check out the Y-shaped suspension bridge this time,
but I highly recommend adding Gyeonam Waterfall and the Native Botanical Garden
to your itinerary for the full experience!
Crossing the Unique Y-Shaped Suspension Bridge

As the crown jewel of Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land,
the Y-shaped suspension bridge was truly spectacular.

I was initially a bit nervous about how much it would sway,
but once on it, the bridge felt incredibly sturdy and safe.
The panoramic mountain views are so breathtaking
that you will be too busy taking photos to feel any fear!

The way the bright red bridge cuts through the lush green valley
is an unforgettable sight.
It is easy to see why this spot has become so famous on social media!
However, if you have severe acrophobia (fear of heights)
or if your knees are acting up,
don't push yourself too hard. Enjoying the view from the entrance
is still a wonderful experience.
The Perfect Finish: Gajo Hot Springs Free Foot Bath

After hiking around the Healing Land,
we headed over to the nearby Gajo Hot Springs Foot Bath.
It is located just a short drive from the park,
making it a seamless addition to your itinerary.
Plus, it is completely free to the public!

Soaking our tired feet in the warm, mineral-rich hot spring water
instantly melted all our travel fatigue away.
Even my parents-in-law loved it.
With visitors of all ages enjoying the warm soak together,
it was a highlight for our entire family.
This is a must-visit spot, especially during the cooler fall and winter months!
Where to Eat: Modeun Restaurant (모든식당)

No great trip is complete without an amazing meal!
We headed into Gajo-myeon to dine at Modeun Restaurant,
famous for its charcoal-grilled black pork and seasoned grilled dried pollack.

The charcoal-grilled black pork had a wonderful,
smoky aroma that immediately won over the family.

The grilled dried pollack was equally delicious—
perfectly seasoned without being overly spicy,
making it a hit for both older and younger generations.
If you are looking for a reliable, delicious local restaurant near
Geochang Healing Land, this is the perfect stop.
