Planning a family getaway to Geochang's Gajo-myeon area? Many of you probably are!
Our family recently visited the Anti-aging Healing Land, and as the saying goes, "a good meal first, then sightseeing." After lunch nearby, we were definitely craving a refreshing cup of coffee.

As we mapped out our route, we discovered a beautiful garden cafe in Geochang just a 4-minute drive away, so we headed straight there.
📍 Bau Cafe
1st Floor, 98-7 Oncheon-gil, Gajo-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea
This is Bau Cafe, conveniently located near the Gajo Oncheon Foot Spa.
When we visited, the Gajo Oncheon Flower Complex was bustling with its cosmos festival, creating a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere. The cafe's close proximity to the festival grounds made it an excellent addition to our travel itinerary.

Upon entering the cafe, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the interior was, filled with many interesting things to see.

It seems they operate both a cafe and a vintage general store, as the space was adorned with an array of unique clocks and exotic decorative items.
Browsing these charming trinkets while waiting for our drinks was a delightful experience.

Our family mostly ordered classic americanos and lattes.

An Americano was priced at ~$3, and a latte at ~$4. Considering it's a cafe in a tourist area, these prices felt quite reasonable.

My niece really wanted the snowflake bingsu, so we ordered one for ~$8. It came generously topped with nuts, making it a delightfully savory and satisfying treat.
In my opinion, the flavors were very classic and straightforward.
I did regret not getting to try their signature avocado coffee, but everyone in the family found something they liked, making it a pleasant and fuss-free experience.

When we visited, the weather was a bit chilly, so we couldn't fully enjoy it, but there's a spacious outdoor lawn garden.
If you happen to visit on a warmer day, I highly recommend finding a spot on the garden terrace to enjoy your coffee!

It's also just about a 6-minute walk from the Gajo Oncheon Foot Spa, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll after your foot bath.
While it might not be a top-tier "must-visit" destination in Geochang, if you find yourself in the Gajo Oncheon area, this Geochang cafe is certainly worth a stop.
Especially for families, the ample space and excellent accessibility make it a foolproof choice for a relaxing break.
For those curious about the places we visited before stopping at the cafe, I'll briefly list them below. Feel free to use them as a reference when planning your Geochang trip!
