Fuxin Hotel Qingdao Review 2026: Airport Perks & Prime Location
Discover the Fuxin Hotel Qingdao, offering prime location near MixC Mall and May Fourth Square, plus convenient airport check-in and luggage delivery services. See why it's a top choice for your 2026 Qingdao adventure!

Usually, when planning a trip to Qingdao, popular accommodation choices are often clustered near May Fourth Square and MixC Mall,
including Shangri-La, Le Hai Garden, and Fuxin Hotel.
These three are quite popular.
Among them, I'll share my experience staying at Fuxin Hotel, which is not only close to May Fourth Square but also offers free airport check-in and luggage delivery!
It's an amazing perk!
Location

Just a 5-minute walk to MixC Mall (Wanshangcheng)
and a 10-minute walk to May Fourth Square – the location truly couldn't be better!
Imagine grabbing dinner at MixC Mall, catching the dazzling nightly laser show,
and then effortlessly strolling back to your hotel, even late at night. So convenient!

It's also conveniently located near a subway station, and among the 4 and 5-star hotels in Qingdao city,
it offers some of the best value for money.

Double Room

The room I booked was a Double Room.
It featured a queen-sized bed, was wonderfully clean,
and incredibly spacious.
Plus, with a fantastic city view, the panorama was breathtaking.
The room had a distinct 'Chinese vibe' throughout, which might appeal to some more than others.
It's a matter of personal preference.

You'll also find a TV, a desk perfect for laptop work, and a cozy small sofa.
Though listed as a queen, the bed felt almost king-sized, so generously proportioned that
it could easily accommodate a family of three!

In the bathroom, the shower stall and washbasin are thoughtfully separated.
It's a proper separate booth, not just a curtain, which is a big plus!

Even though it's an older hotel, as a 4-star establishment,
it's clearly very well-maintained.
There's a good reason why many Korean travelers choose this as their family accommodation!
It makes perfect sense!
I booked it for ~$102 per night,
and you can find even more affordable rooms starting from around ~$88.

Detailed Room Review

For your welcome drink, you can choose between tea or beer,
and they generously offer one per guest!
The beer is quite good – definitely go for the beer!

Inside the room, you'll find two bottles of water, snacks, coffee,
fruit, an eye mask, and earplugs.
Chinese hotels often provide earplugs, though I never really encountered any noise during my stay;
it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

slippers, refrigerator, dehumidifier, washing machine, coffee maker,
and even a microwave – they truly have it all!
A great perk of 4-star hotels and above!
The slippers are incredibly plush! ❤️

Beyond that, you'll find a safe, iron, umbrella,
a scale, and a laundry bag.

Toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton swabs, cotton pads, combs, and more –
all essential amenities are provided.

All the towels were individually wrapped in paper,
which might be great for hygiene, but unwrapping them was a bit of a hassle..
Delivery

For deliveries, instead of a robot, you need to use the unmanned locker on the 1st floor.
After ordering with Meituan, once you receive the arrival notification,
you can head down to the lobby.
You can retrieve your order by entering the verification code, your Chinese phone number,
or scanning a QR code.
If you're worried, you can write a request in Chinese for them to leave your order on the floor
instead of inside the unmanned locker.
Airport Check-in, Shuttle Bus

The biggest reason I chose Fuxin Hotel!
It's the fact that you can complete boarding procedures and baggage check-in right at the hotel!
There's a Qingdao Airport City Terminal located on the 1st floor.
From here, you can directly catch the airport shuttle bus.

The airport shuttle bus schedule includes
9 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM, and 7 PM –
only four departure times, so they're not very frequent.
You can board for 30 yuan per person.
Since it's less than ~$5,
it's definitely worth considering if the timing works out for you.

There's no need to lug heavy suitcases all the way to the airport,
and no long queues for check-in,
which made it incredibly convenient!
Next time I visit Qingdao,
I'll definitely be staying at Fuxin Hotel again for my last night.
I was a bit worried because some reviews mentioned the rooms looking dated,
but while it is an older hotel, it wasn't unclean or
in poor condition at all.
✔️Great location close to MixC Mall and May Fourth Square
✔️A 4-star hotel at an amazing price
✔️Airport check-in and baggage drop-off available
All of these points truly outweigh any potential drawbacks.
(Honestly, I couldn't even find anything I'd consider a drawback!)
