Fukuoka Tower & Momochi Beach: Night Views & Yakiniku 2026
Discover Fukuoka's enchanting Momochi Beach and Fukuoka Tower! Experience breathtaking sunsets and dazzling night views, perfect for any traveler.

Hello, I'm D-Young, your travel blogger!
On the first day of my Fukuoka trip,
I visited Momochi Beach and Fukuoka Tower
to catch the sunset and admire the night view.
And of course, I indulged in some delicious yakiniku at a highly-rated spot.
For the Fukuoka Tower observation deck,
I booked through Klook on the same day,
and it was totally worth it! I got a discount and the night view was absolutely stunning.
I left feeling completely satisfied -
Arriving at Momochi Beach

Arrived after a 20-minute bus ride from Tenjin.
Momochi Beach is a sprawling artificial beach located near the city center,
renowned for its exotic and picturesque beauty.
By the way, Fukuoka is truly a gem.
With both the airport and the sea conveniently close,
it has a low travel difficulty, making it perfect for solo adventurers.
I think it's just wonderful.

Right in front of the beach stands Fukuoka Tower.
To experience the breathtaking night view from the observation deck,
I went ahead and booked on Klook on the same day.
Even though it was a small amount, booking gave me a discount,
and best of all, I could book in Korean, which made it super convenient.
Buying through Klook was definitely the easiest way! Haha.

This is a highly-rated spot I saved because I was craving a parfait.
But alas, a sad ending: I was too full to try it!
If you visit Momochi Beach, please have one for me... 🤤

And there it is, Momochi Beach, finally in sight!
The sun was just setting, making it incredibly beautiful, wouldn't you agree?

Momochi Beach is a large-scale artificial beach,
and people flock to it because of its exotic ambiance, despite being so close to the city center.
Even when I visited,
there were quite a few foreign visitors as well as Japanese locals.

And guess what? Right as I arrived,
I spotted the famous Blue Seal Ice Cream! 🩵
To be honest, I wasn't really thinking about ice cream,
but once I saw it, it was a definite 'go-go'!

When you think of Blue Seal Ice Cream,
that blue Blue Wave flavor
seems to be the most famous, so I was planning to get that one,
but then, a kid who looked like a middle schooler right in front of me
was eating something like shaved ice...
And just like that, I completely changed my mind, haha!

Suddenly, this shaved ice was in my hand...
Why did I even order this, I wonder... ^^

I said I regretted it, but I never said I wouldn't eat it!
After taking all my pictures, I savored every bit of it. Haha!
It's melon syrup and ice,
but it's just so delicious! Haha.

The sunset here was truly amazing.

It was early September, around 6:30 PM,
and the timing was absolutely perfect.
I would even dare to say that it was the absolute best moment of my Fukuoka trip.

Now, it's off to Fukuoka Tower to catch the night view!
It felt like it was getting dark suddenly and fast,
so I hurried my way up.
📍
📍 Fukuoka Tower

I had already reserved my tickets, so
I just showed my voucher and received my ticket right away.
On-site purchase is 1,000 yen
You can also get discounts,
and even buy on the day itself,
so I highly recommend booking in advance if you can!

We took the super-fast elevator up.
While ascending, a staff member
explained everything, mixing Japanese, Korean, and English.

Fukuoka, seen from 234m up.
They say Fukuoka Tower is the tallest seaside tower
in all of Japan!

As the sun slowly set...

And finally, Fukuoka bathed in darkness.

Inside the tower, there's even a spot for commemorative photos
(The line can get pretty long!)

And there's this too! (I didn't take a photo, though.)

On the first floor, you'll find a FamilyMart and

there's also a souvenir shop.
While not directly related to Fukuoka Tower,
they sell a ton of ramen kits!

Haha, how cute is this Fukuoka Tower!

The bittersweet loneliness of solo travel.
Nobody to take my picture,
so I took it myself!

Leaving the magnificent Fukuoka Tower behind,
I'm off to enjoy my very first yakiniku!
