For years, I'd convinced myself I didn't like eel. Turns out, I just hadn't tasted *good* eel until I visited this place!

Interior Atmosphere

The interior boasts a clean, warm wooden aesthetic, with seating options ranging from cozy tables for two, to four-person setups, and even private rooms for larger groups.

I arrived right when they opened, so it was empty, but by the time I finished, the place was packed! It's clearly a popular spot, so I highly recommend making a reservation.

The menu changes between breakfast and dinner. In the evenings, they focus on Monjayaki and other izakaya-style dishes.

For breakfast, you can choose between Unagi Donburi Sets A, B, or C. The components are the same; only the portion size differs. Set A is plenty for one person, especially if you're not a huge eater, while men or those with bigger appetites might prefer Set B or C.

Unagi Donburi

My husband and I aren't usually big breakfast eaters, so we both opted for Set A, thinking it would be enough.

The Unagi Donburi set comes with miso soup, a savory egg roll, kimchi, cabbage salad, and wasabi. It's a perfectly balanced and hearty meal that won't feel too heavy for breakfast.

Two generous pieces of perfectly grilled eel sit atop a bed of rice, each coated in a delicious sweet and savory sauce.

Various sauces and pepper are available at your table if you want to customize, but honestly, the eel is so perfectly seasoned that you might not even need them!

Before this, my reasons for disliking eel were usually a dry texture, a fishy smell, or just a bland 'fish taste.' But one bite of this unagi donburi, and all those preconceived notions vanished! It was simply divine.

The seasoning was incredibly rich and flavorful, far from bland. The eel itself was unbelievably tender and moist, yet still had a delightful chewiness. I couldn't believe eel could be this good – I felt like I'd been missing out my whole life!

The egg roll, infused with mentaiko (marinated pollock roe), offered a fantastic sweet and salty contrast, making it the perfect side dish for the rice.
