If you're traveling to Fukuoka, choosing accommodation close to shopping, restaurants, and amenities is ideal,

both for your energy levels and for convenience.

The Hotel Monte Hermana, where I stayed this time,

was absolutely perfect for a Fukuoka trip because it was spacious, had a great location, and offered excellent value for money.

I'll share all the details below on why I highly recommend this place!

1. Location and Information

Hotel Monte Hermana is located in the Tenjin area,

just a 4-minute walk from Watanabedori Station on the Nanakuma Line,

a 5-minute walk from Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, 10 minutes from Canal City Hakata,

and about 15 minutes from the Yatai (food stall) street.

This means everything is comfortably within walking distance,

making the location truly excellent.

Q. Is it better to stay near Hakata Station or Tenjin?

A. Practically speaking, unless you're primarily doing bus tours, it's better to book near Tenjin because most of the shopping, restaurants, and cafes are concentrated there.

Once you travel to Fukuoka, you'll realize how important it is for your accommodation to be within walking distance.

It saves your energy and makes shopping incredibly convenient.

2. Room Condition and Stay Review

The hotel lobby was spacious with plenty of waiting area,

and amenities were available on the right, so you could take what you needed without having to bring your own toiletries.

Upon check-in, there was a Korean staff member,

which made the process much smoother. I even thought this would be a great hotel to book for my parents.

What's more, as two women traveling together, safety was a crucial consideration,

and I felt it was safer than other places because a card key was required to access

both the elevators and the intermediate entrances.

I booked a double twin room,

and among all the accommodations I've stayed in, the space between the beds and the hallway was so wide

that my friend and I exclaimed, "Wow, it's so spacious!"

Whenever I travel, I usually shop a lot,

making it difficult to fully open my suitcase and pack my belongings in other hotels,

but here, it was so spacious that there was plenty of room even with two suitcases open.

There was also a dining table and a regular table, perfect for enjoying late-night snacks or light meals.

The wardrobe and drawers were also generously sized,

making it easy for someone who carries a lot of belongings like me to store clothes and luggage.

Furthermore, there was a vanity table, allowing for comfortable makeup and preparation,

and it even offered OTT services, so after a day of exploring,

we could relax with a beer and catch up on the latest trending dramas and variety shows.

When traveling in Japan, you often encounter very cramped bathrooms,

but at Monte Hermana, there was ample space and multiple shelves,

which was great for storing toiletries.

Advantages I Noticed About the Accommodation

1. It was spacious, with room left over even after opening our suitcases.

2. The beds themselves were larger than in other accommodations, and the bedding was clean.

3. Pajamas were provided, so I didn't need to pack my own, helping to lighten my luggage.

4. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around everywhere.

5. Great Value for Money

With so many amazing advantages,

you can enjoy a stay with fantastic value for around ~$74,

so whenever friends ask me where to stay in Fukuoka,

I always recommend Hotel Monte Hermana!

3. Nearby Facilities and Tourist Attractions

Tenjin Underground Shopping Center is also nearby, making it easy to shop at duty-free Lush, Don Quijote,

Kaldi, and more.

Being close to Hakata Station, I signed up for a bus tour one day,

and comfortably explored nearby small cities and attractions like Dazaifu, Yufuin, Beppu,

and more.

There are also delicious restaurants nearby serving Motsunabe, Yakiniku, and more,

making dining super convenient. Plus, with plenty of coffee and dessert cafes,

I could eat to my heart's content!
