For those who visit Japan often,
wondering where to go when in Japan?
I personally visit LOFT quite often :)
From cosmetics to parasols, kitchenware, and stationery,
they have such a wide variety of items,
and while there isn't a huge price difference from Don Quijote, the shopping experience is much more pleasant,
so I make sure to visit every time I go to Japan.
Opening Hours
Daily: 10:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM
If you walk along Tenjin's northern street, you'll spot a beige building,
and that's Mina Tenjin.
LOFT used to be a standalone building, but now it's
located inside a multi-purpose shopping complex.
It's close to Tenjin Station's North Exit and even connected to the Tenjin Underground Mall, making it incredibly convenient to get around.
Plus, with stores like UNIQLO, GU, and Seria also in the complex,
it's a popular spot for day-trip shoppers too!
LOFT is located on the 4th floor of Mina Tenjin.
Centering around the cashiers marked in the middle of the map,
the left side mainly features stationery and miscellaneous goods,
while the right side is dedicated to beauty and healthcare products.
1. Cosmetics Corner
LOFT's cosmetics corner
offers a more comfortable cosmetics shopping experience than Don Quijote Nakasu or Mega Don Quijote.
While there are Japanese local brands, K-Beauty is quite popular,
so Korean cosmetics actually make up a larger portion of the selection,
but you can also find Japan-exclusive packages and special sets not available in Korea.
Upink has a lot of great shades for Summer Cool Mute and Summer Cool Light skin tones!
When you think of Japan, you probably use a lot of Kiss Me products,
but I highly recommend this one!
I'm super lazy and never touch up my makeup once it's on,
but this product absolutely doesn't smudge and is just amazing.
I don't wear much makeup, but I have three Canmake eyeshadows at home.
While they are sold at Olive Young these days,
if you're in Japan, it's much cheaper to buy them here.
Cezanne, a popular brand among Koreans too.
It's available in Korea, but it's significantly cheaper in Japan.
2. Kitchenware
The Moomoo Friends lunchbox I couldn't tear myself away from.
It's a dog-face shaped lunchbox, available in single or double-tier versions, and it's microwave-safe,
making it both cute and practical.
Japanese kitchenware always makes me think, 'Who even thought of something like this?!' so I tend to look at it with great interest.
There are cutters that slice green onions into fine threads,
and even items that are both a spoon and a grater!
This partitioned frying pan? I seriously coveted it.
You can grill multiple side dishes at once with just one pan,
so it would be great for anyone living alone or who often packs lunchboxes!
I often drink beer or lemon sour at home,
so I just had to get one of these glasses :)
While there are dedicated beer glasses, for that lemon sour vibe,
a stainless steel cup is definitely the best.
The famous Toyo-Sasaki Awadachi Beer Glass.
The inside of the glass is specially textured, so when you pour beer,
it's said to create a finer head of foam.
The price was around 1,500 to 1,800 yen,
and as a beer lover, I just couldn't pass it up, so I bought one.
3. Figure Corner
There's a large, dedicated Pop Mart corner with popular lineups like Dimoo, Skullpanda, and Molly,
and they also had many collaborations like Tom and Jerry/Snoopy/SpongeBob. Prices were typically around 1,000 to 1,800 yen.
You can also find Disney character figures like Stitch and Pooh, and the lineup extends to Sanrio (Kuromi/Cinnamoroll), Chiikawa, and Hangyodon.
The variety was extensive.
4. Stationery Corner
My absolute favorite Jetstream zone!
It was easy to choose since they were all displayed by color and tip size,
and the writing experience is so smooth with no ink blobs, making it my go-to pen for studying.
It's the pen I use most often.
These are Pilot's FRIXION pens.
They're pens you can write with and then erase.
There's a wide variety, including ballpoint pens, highlighters, and mechanical pencils,
and they come in many colors too.
Calligraphy Brush Pen Corner
Brands like Pentel and Kuretake are all lined up,
with options ranging from practice pens to those for drawing.
The Chiikawa corner, which seems to be everywhere you go!
A corner with lots of unique cards :)
Grab one to write a lovely letter for a birthday or anniversary!
Envelopes perfect for gifting money on special occasions.
They have "Congratulations" written on them in Japanese.
Cinnamoroll/Kuromi themed desk items!
There were clips, memo pads, silicone bands, and more.
There was a huge selection of 2026 diaries, available in various sizes and colors.
The Rhodia diary corner.
You could clearly see Rhodia's signature color palette,
and they were divided into web planner and monthly versions.
5. Parasol Corner
As someone who, at some point, stopped leaving the house without a parasol,
I paid the most attention to this section.
While department store parasols are nice, they can be quite expensive.
For gifts or personal use, nothing beats WPC.
I don't prefer long umbrellas, so I always just browse.
They even have dual-purpose parasol-umbrellas that fit perfectly in your bag.
With 100% light-blocking and serving as both a parasol and an umbrella, they're super useful!
6. Bag Corner
Hunter bags!
They had a full lineup with the Hunter logo, including various types like backpacks, totes, and cross-body bags.
The variety was impressive.
Coleman bags just feel sturdy and perfect for everyday rough use.
With plenty of backpacks, sling bags, and pouches, they seemed great for anyone looking for practical items for travel or daily use.
Danton bags I hadn't seen at Beams.
There are Porter bags too :)
I always pack a shopping bag as an essential for my trips to Japan,
and this brand's shopping bag is so sturdy, I've been using it well for 4 years now.
7. Phone Accessories
AVIOT x Hello Kitty Collaboration Earphones
True to the land of Kitty, it's a Hello Kitty paradise everywhere you go!
With tax exemption, it was 17,000 yen, which was cheaper than buying directly online.
There was also a wide variety of Apple Watch straps and cases.
From simple designs to eye-catching statement pieces, there was something for everyone.
AirPods cases also came in a variety of character, transparent, and simple designs!
Prices generally ranged from 1,800 to 2,800 yen,
and with many collaborations like Miffy, Minions, and Disney,
they looked great as gifts too.
A place where you can also get tax exemption :)
Mina-Tenjin Loft is
a comfortable place to shop because it's tax-exempt, spacious, and less crowded.
Donki (Don Quijote) is always chaotic, and you even have to wait in line to pay,
but Loft's store itself is spacious, allowing for easy movement,
and it's great for taking your time to browse.
If you combine Uniqlo, GU, Seria, and Loft in Mina-Tenjin,
you can shop without wasting movement,
so anyone traveling to Fukuoka should definitely check it out :)
