They've recently added a **Korean menu** which wasn't there before.
It's clear that this Fukuoka Tenjin restaurant has really become a word-of-mouth favorite among Korean travelers! :)
🍱 Menu Introduction & Ordering Tips!
This time, my husband and I each picked two different dishes according to our preferences.
✅ Tai Ochazuke (Basic Sea Bream Rice Bowl): 1,430 yen

I ordered the **basic Tai Ochazuke**, and it was the perfect, satisfying portion for an adult woman eating alone.
✅ Sachi Sea Bream Ochazuke: 3,575 yen
(Topped with Mentaiko + Salmon Roe + Sea Bream Sashimi!)

My husband ordered the Sachi Sea Bream Ochazuke, which looked new,
and he really indulged in a luxurious lunch right from the start of the day, haha!

The complimentary tofu side dish served before the main course was incredibly savory and delightfully light.
It was absolutely perfect to pair with a refreshing glass of draft beer! 🍺

🐟 Freshness Itself: Plump and Bouncy Sea Bream Sashimi!

The tray was served shortly after we ordered, and the visuals alone were enough to make my mouth water!
The sea bream sashimi was incredibly plump and bouncy, and you could really see its freshness with your own eyes.

The unique lightness of the sea bream, combined with the umami flavor that developed with every chew, was simply divine...
The combination with the special sauce was perfect, and the moment I placed a piece on the savory pot rice and took a bite,

I couldn't help but exclaim, "Ah, it's definitely worth a second visit!"

I even snuck a little taste of my husband's luxurious sea bream ochazuke!
There was a whole mentaiko (spicy pollack roe) fillet on top, so it was more than enough for the two of us to share.

I was a little worried about the aroma of the shiso (Japanese perilla) placed on top of the salmon roe,
but when I actually ate it together with the salmon roe, its unique fragrance really balanced out any fishiness, making it surprisingly delicious! 💚
🍵 Finishing Touch: Warm and Silky Sea Bream Ochazuke!
The true highlight of this place is definitely the final ochazuke!

After eating some of the rice and sea bream sashimi to your liking, you gently pour the warm green tea (or dashi broth) that they provide over the rice.

As the warm tea soaks into the rice grains and sea bream sashimi,
the texture becomes even softer and more delicate. It warms your stomach so wonderfully that you just keep slurping it down! 🤤
Honestly, my husband and I...
we had just eaten some famous truffle bread right before this meal, yet
we couldn't stop eating! We ended up finishing every last drop of the broth too. Lol!
📌 Final Verdict

If you've arrived early at Fukuoka Airport, or if you're looking for a lunch spot near Tenjin Station (Tenjin-eki) on your first day of travel,
and pondering where to have lunch! If you're craving a clean, exquisite Japanese meal instead of something oily,
we highly recommend Tenjin Inachika Inabacho Ikkei.
