You can reach Marine World by bus, subway, or ferry. Since our accommodation, the Cross Life Hakata Tenjin, wasn't far from Hakata Port, we opted for the scenic ferry ride. A quick heads-up: Hakata Port has both international and domestic terminals, so when you tell your taxi driver, be sure to specify the domestic terminal. The ferry schedule varies between weekdays and weekends. On weekdays, ferries typically run about once an hour, so it's smart to check the timetable in advance. The ferry ride from Hakata Port to Marine World took us approximately 20 minutes.

This is the main reason we came to Marine World: the dazzling dolphin and sea lion shows! The show arena is situated right in front of the ocean, offering breathtaking views that everyone, young and old, will adore.

There are no restrictions on bringing outside food, so feel free to pack a picnic! We grabbed some ice cream and sausages from the snack stand inside the dolphin show arena and enjoyed them while watching the performance.

The Marine World gift shop is also quite extensive, filled with adorable and charming souvenirs. I bought a soft cloth book for my niece and a whale toy for my child. I'm still curious about the "whale-flavored" Pritz crackers—if you visit, please try them for me!

Beyond the captivating dolphin shows, Marine World also houses a large aquarium where you can observe a diverse array of marine creatures.

The turtle eggs looked incredibly realistic, even if they weren't actually real – quite fascinating! There was also a section that beautifully recreated a tidal mudflat environment.

Near Marine World, you'll find Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, a fantastic place for kids to play. We spent the afternoon there until sunset, then took a ferry to Momochi Beach, which led us right to Fukuoka Tower.

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is within walking distance of Marine World, making it an ideal combination for families. We spent an entire day exploring all three attractions: Marine World → Uminonakamichi → Fukuoka Tower.

Around 6 PM, we witnessed the most breathtaking sunset I've ever seen. With no tall buildings obstructing the view, it was absolutely stunning. If I ever return to Fukuoka, Marine World will definitely be on my itinerary again!
