My Review of the Afternoon Itoshima Half-Day Tour

For the afternoon tour, the meeting started at 1:30 PM,
so I headed to the Lawson in front of the Oriental Hotel on the 1st floor.
After confirming reservations and checking the number of participants,
we boarded the bus in the order of arrival.

Less than an hour after departing from Hakata Station,
we arrived at our first stop, the Mataichi Salt Workshop.
The bus couldn't go all the way in,
so we got off at the entrance and walked for about 5 minutes.

Once inside, you're immediately greeted by the ocean,
and there's a lovely spot to relax while enjoying the sea view.

At the workshop, they sell not only their handmade salt
but also salt pudding and drinks.
Even though it's a salt workshop, the pudding is apparently their specialty!
Before arriving at the workshop, our guide on the bus
took our orders and payments in advance.
Thanks to this, when we arrived at the workshop, we didn't have to queue separately
and could enjoy our puddings right away.

I'm not usually a big fan of pudding,
but this is the only one I keep dreaming about!
Even if you don't typically go for pudding, you absolutely have to give this one a try!

We stayed at the workshop for about 30 minutes,
enjoyed our pudding, and then looked around before heading off
to our next stop, Palm Beach Garden.

Next up was Palm Beach Garden.
From here to Sakurai Futamigaura,
it's only about a 10-minute walk, so as soon as we got off,
we immediately headed to take some photos.

The white torii gate standing in the sea, along with the Meoto Iwa (Couple Rocks),
makes this a famous photo spot.
When we visited, it was around sunset,
and capturing the sea in the background made for some absolutely stunning photos.

Palm Beach Garden has a combined gift shop and cafe,
so we bought some gelato, used the restroom,
and spent some time there.

The cafe also features a small shop where you can browse Itoshima-related merchandise
and charming souvenirs.
After spending about 50 minutes at Palm Beach Garden,
we moved on to the next stop.
We didn't get off at Palm Tree Swing,
instead, we enjoyed the view from inside the bus as we passed by,
and headed straight for Momochi Beach.

Another great thing about the afternoon tour was
that it was possible to get off at Momochi Beach!
We planned to visit Fukuoka Tower separately afterward,
so we informed our guide in advance that we would be getting off
at Momochi Beach.
Since Fukuoka Tower admission wasn't included in the tour,
we explored on our own from this point.

If you can, I highly recommend booking the afternoon tour
to catch the sunset at Momochi Beach.
We arrived just as the sun was beginning to set,
so we took our time exploring the beach.
The way the sky's colors slowly shifted was breathtaking,
making it the most unforgettable moment.

Fukuoka Tower, located next to the beach, isn't included in the tour,
so you'll need to purchase admission tickets separately.
Since I was planning to go anyway, I booked my tickets in advance.
Pre-booking is cheaper than buying tickets on-site,
so if you're planning a visit, I definitely recommend preparing in advance.
On-site tickets are 1,000 JPY,
but if you book in advance, it's around ~$5, which is much more affordable.

By the time I went up the tower, the sun had already completely set,
so I got to see the beautiful night view of Fukuoka city before coming back down.
Even after the tour ended, I could still continue with my evening plans,
and what I loved most was that it didn't take up my entire day.
