This is the inviting entrance to both the Bunshodo Hotel and TIMEZ Cafe.

Just a short 3-minute stroll from where you might grab some delicious Kitakata Ramen, you'll discover TIMEZ Cafe, a truly Instagram-worthy spot nestled on the ground floor of the Bunshodo Hotel.

Initially, I wasn't sure I was in the right place because there's no prominent sign. But if you've found the Bunshodo Hotel's ground floor, you're exactly where you need to be! You'll also spot a Times Rent-a-Car parking lot right in front, which can be a helpful landmark.

Cafe Atmosphere

Stepping inside, you're greeted by a sophisticated ambiance. The dimly lit interior creates a calm and inviting mood, perfect for unwinding. You'll notice a high-end La Marzocco coffee machine, hinting at the quality brews on offer, and an array of striking black desserts beautifully displayed.

Further inside, the cafe seamlessly connects to the hotel lobby, where guests can check in.

With a diverse selection of books lining the shelves, it’s an ideal spot for some quiet solo reading.

The minimalist concrete aesthetic gives the cafe a sleek, modern feel, making it a fantastic backdrop for those blog-worthy or Instagrammable photos.

Seating

The cafe offers an intimate seating arrangement, with a total of six spots: two smaller individual seats and four cozy two-person sofas, perfect for a quiet chat or some personal time.

TIMEZ Cafe welcomes guests from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.

Beyond the beverages, they also offer stylish merchandise, including coffee beans and unique stickers, perfect for a souvenir.

Coffee & Desserts

I opted for a Caramel Latte and a Cafe Mocha, accompanied by their tempting Caramel Salty Cookie Sandwich. This delicious treat was about ~$3.

While the caramel flavor in my latte was a bit subtle for my preference, it still paired wonderfully with the cookie.

The Caramel Salty Cookie, on the other hand, was a true delight – rich with a buttery aroma and a perfectly creamy filling. It was absolutely delicious!

For guests staying at the Bunshodo Hotel, the cafe's ground-floor location is a huge perk. You can easily pop down for your morning coffee without any wait, making for a relaxed start to your day.

They even provide complimentary syrup, allowing you to customize your coffee to your exact liking and make it even more enjoyable.

It’s not a bustling, noisy spot, but rather a peaceful haven where you can enjoy a good book and a perfectly brewed coffee. It's the ideal place to catch your breath during your travels and soak in a moment of calm in a truly atmospheric setting.
