One of the biggest things I pondered while preparing for our 6-person trip to Fukuoka with friends was accommodation 🏠
If we booked a hotel, we'd have to split into different rooms, and it felt like a shame not to be able to stay together.

While searching for accommodation where my friends and I could all stay together, I found a private house just a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station!
All six of us were incredibly satisfied with it, so let me introduce you to this group accommodation in Fukuoka.

Actually, six adult women stayed here, but it could comfortably accommodate one or two more people.
For reference, I booked it during the winter high season ☃️ and paid in the ~$223 range per night.
📍Irodori Daidai Location and Exterior

Irodori Daidai in Fukuoka is a private house located near Hakata Station.
It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, which made getting around during our trip really convenient.
For a Fukuoka trip, many itineraries revolve around Hakata Station, so the accommodation's location was quite excellent.

The exterior of the accommodation looks like a typical Japanese family home.
With an orange noren (curtain) hanging, it's not hard to find.

Exploring Irodori Daidai's 1st Floor
Living Room and Kitchen

When you open the door and step inside, you'll see a spacious entryway and shoe cabinet.
It was wide enough to store six suitcases, a truly generous entrance.

The living room has a table large enough for several people, which was perfect for sharing simple meals or just chatting with friends.

Munching on snacks from the Japanese convenience store really made me feel like I was on a true Japanese adventure!
Especially having a kitchen was fantastic for whipping up quick frozen meals.

If you're craving a home-cooked meal in Fukuoka and want to grab groceries from a local supermarket, this place is an excellent choice.
Cooking utensils, an induction stovetop, and a microwave
were all ready and waiting!
Exploring Irodori Daidai's Second Floor
Plenty of Space, Even for Six!

Personally, my favorite spot in the Irodori guesthouse was definitely
the second-floor tatami room.

It's a traditional Japanese tatami space where you can spread out futons, perfect for multiple people to sleep comfortably.
Six adult women stayed here, and the space felt quite generous. I think even more than six people would find it comfortable!

When you're traveling in Japan with friends, you naturally want to gather, snap some photos 📷, and chat until the very last moment 🗨. It was wonderful to spend time all together in one spacious area.
If you ever want to separate the space, just close the sliding door, and it divides into two rooms!

Heating and cooling were managed by a heater only, but all six of us felt perfectly warm without any chill.
It was a little dry since only a heater controlled the temperature, but that's typical for Japanese accommodations, so it wasn't a major inconvenience.
Bathroom and Toilet: Separated for Convenience!

When multiple people are sharing accommodation,
having separate bathroom and toilet facilities is surprisingly important!
At Irodori Daidai, both the bathroom and toilet are on the first floor
and completely separated into different areas.

For a group staying together,
having the toilet and bathroom separated definitely made things more convenient.
The bathroom included a sink area, a bathtub, and a shower,
along with essential amenities like towels and toothbrushes.

There's even a washing machine, so you can do laundry if needed during your trip!
(Laundry detergent was provided too!)

I've put together the advantages I experienced firsthand while staying here.

What truly stood out was the cost💰
Even during the winter high season on weekends, it was in the ~$223 range,
so we got to enjoy it at a reasonable price of ~$37 per person,
and all my friends were incredibly satisfied.
(Of course, prices may vary by season, date, weekdays, weekends, etc.,
so please keep this in mind as a reference.)
