The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin Fukuoka Review 2026: Family-Friendly Value
Traveling to Fukuoka with a family of 4 or 5? The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin offers spacious rooms, a kitchen, and incredible value, making it ideal for groups.

Fukuoka Family Trip Accommodation
The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin
While looking for family-friendly accommodation in Fukuoka,
we decided on **The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin** for our group of five this trip.
Japanese accommodations often have small rooms,
and since I was traveling with my parents,
I was worried we might need two rooms.
But then the lodging costs would have been quite a burden.

However, the place we stayed this time was a residence-style accommodation,
with **two double beds, one separate bedroom,**
**and even a kitchen within the unit, which was perfect for five of us to stay comfortably in one room**.
Plus, the price per night was quite reasonable,
offering great value for money.
If you're a family of four or five looking for a place to stay together,
the room layout here is particularly impressive.
So, let me share a detailed review of our personal experience!
Self Check-in

**Checking in at The Grand Residence Hotel is a self-service process.**
**When I stayed, I followed the instructions received before arrival**
**and checked in at a machine on the first floor.**
**The guide and instructions were well-provided in Korean,**
**making it easy to complete the process.**
**Check-in is from 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM!**
****
It seemed there wasn't a separate luggage storage service, but
**there's an elevator, making it easy to access for parents or**
**those with children in strollers,**
**without any hassle!**

The Room

There are two double beds, and for our group of five,
four of us slept together in one main room, while one person had their own private bedroom!
If you're a family of four, three could sleep on the double beds,
and one could comfortably sleep in the separate bedroom.

Because the space is inherently generous, even with five of us unpacking,
it didn't feel cramped at all and was so convenient to get ready with plenty of room.
Especially when traveling with kids, luggage can pile up, but there was still ample space.

The Kitchen

For trips with parents and children,
I think having a kitchen is a significant advantage!

With a refrigerator, microwave, and even a cooking area,
it was perfect for warming up food bought from convenience stores or preparing simple late-night snacks.

When staying at regular hotels, we often had to go all the way to the lobby on the first floor to eat,
or sometimes couldn't eat at all. So,
**having a microwave and an induction cooktop in this residence-style hotel was simply fantastic!**
****
Especially when traveling with parents or kids,
local food might not always suit everyone's taste.
Being able to cook meals with food we brought along was a huge plus.
Bathroom & Toilet

With five of us staying together, having the bathroom and
toilet separated was incredibly convenient.
While one person was showering, another could use the toilet,
which meant our paths didn't cross as much when multiple people were
getting ready at the same time in the morning.

Plus, there was a washing machine, so
it was great for doing a quick load of laundry,
and having a bathtub was perfect for soaking away
all that accumulated travel fatigue.
The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin Location
📍 The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin
8-8 Komondomachi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0029 Japan

It's about a 10-minute walk from Tenjin and 15 minutes from Hakata Station.
While it's not super close to the station,
it's conveniently near Fukuoka Kokusai Center and Marine Messe Fukuoka,
and the surrounding area has a quiet, charming atmosphere that allows you to
truly experience a sense of Japan – peaceful and lovely.

There's also a nearby bus stop, making it easy to get to Hakata Station.
Plus, with a Lawson convenience store,
and Shinshin Ramen nearby, it's perfect for a late-night snack!

So, if you're traveling with parents or children and
prioritize a location close to a subway station, you'll want to check the distance first.
But if you're looking for a place where multiple people can
stay comfortably in one room, then comparing the room layouts is key!
Accommodation Price

This was the biggest factor I considered when choosing this accommodation.
At the time I checked, prices varied from around ~$51 per night
to over ~$73 per night, depending on the dates.
Since five of us used one room, it helped reduce accommodation costs
compared to booking two separate rooms. That's why
The Grand Residence Hotel Tenjin really stood out as a great value-for-money option!
Keep in mind that accommodation fees vary depending on the dates and room type,
so the most accurate way is to enter your travel dates and check the current price.
