If you're heading to Fukuoka, there's one place you'll find yourself visiting at least once... maybe even twice!
And that place is, of course, the one and only Don Quijote!
This time around, I went in thinking, "I'll only buy what I truly need."
But in the end, from delicious snacks to daily essentials and beauty items,
as I picked them up one by one, my shopping bag ended up completely full! Lol.

Fukuoka, Japan, is particularly great because
Tenjin is a bustling hub where shopping malls, department stores, and drugstores are all concentrated.
This makes it incredibly convenient to weave in a visit to Don Quijote at the very end of your day's itinerary!

And when it comes to Don Quijote, it's a real shame to pay full price!
If you're an international traveler, you can take advantage of tax-free benefits and discount coupons
to make your shopping experience even more affordable.
So, I highly recommend preparing them before your visit!
Today, I'll walk you through everything, starting with details on the Fukuoka Don Quijote stores I visited,
then covering 2026 discount coupons and tax-free procedures,
and finally, my very own Don Quijote shopping haul!

1. Fukuoka Don Quijote Locations & Store Information

Fukuoka is home to several Don Quijote stores,
so you can easily choose one that best fits your accommodation or travel itinerary.
If we narrow it down to the most accessible locations for tourists, you'll mainly find them in the areas of
Tenjin, Nakasu, Hakata Station, and Nishijin.
Store | Operating Hours | Features |
Tenjin Main Store | 24 hours | Perfect for a Tenjin shopping spree |
Tenjin Nishidori Store | 08:00 - 05:00 the next day | Excellent access to Daimyo & Tenjin |
Nakasu Store | 24 hours | Great to combine with your Nakasu & Canal City plans |
Kirakira Donki Hakata Marui Store | 10:00 - 21:00 | Right in front of Hakata Station |
Nishijin Store | 09:00 - 03:00 the next day | Convenient for those coming from Momochi & Fukuoka Tower |

The store I visited this time was the
Tenjin Nishidori Store, which newly opened in June 2026.
It's super close to the Daimyo shopping street,
making it a perfect spot to pop into while you're shopping around Tenjin!

It operates almost all night long,
so you can enjoy sightseeing in Fukuoka during the day,
and then make it your final shopping stop after dinner!

2. 2026 Discount Coupons & Tax-Free Procedures

If you're planning to shop at Don Quijote Fukuoka,
you absolutely must get those discount coupons and tax refunds!
Don Quijote offers tax-free shopping for foreign travelers,
and if you apply their special discount coupons,
you can get **tax exemption + an additional discount of up to 7%**.

It's one of those places where your total can quickly grow as you pick up various items,
so just having a coupon ready before checkout
can make a significant difference!
**Until October 2026**, foreign visitors who do not reside in Japan
and have entered with a **short-term stay visa or similar status for less than 6 months** are eligible for tax exemption.
Don Quijote Tax Exemption Conditions | |
General Goods | 5,000 yen or more (excluding tax) purchased on the same day at the same store |
Consumables | 5,000 yen or more to 500,000 yen or less (excluding tax) purchased on the same day at the same store |
What to Prepare | Your physical passport |
Eligibility | Non-residents who meet tax exemption requirements, such as having entered Japan less than 6 months ago |

Cosmetics, food, beverages, medicines, and similar items are considered consumables,
and under the current system, tax-exempt consumables are
packaged in a special way.
**You must not open or use the packaging while you are in Japan**
and can only use them after you depart!
Don Quijote Discount Coupons offer up to 7% off

Here's the important part:
**the tax exemption criteria and coupon criteria are different!**
**While tax exemption itself is possible from 5,000 yen,**
the commonly used Don Quijote affiliate discount coupons currently apply
additional discounts **only on purchases of 10,000 yen or more (excluding tax)**.
As of August 10, 2026,
the official affiliate coupon guide is as follows:
Purchase Amount (Excluding Tax) | Additional Benefits |
5,000 yen or more to less than 10,000 yen | When tax exemption conditions are met, receive up to 10% tax exemption |
10,000 yen or more | Up to 10% tax exemption + an additional 5% discount |
30,000 yen or more | Up to 10% tax exemption + an additional 7% discount |
So, if you're planning to buy a lot of different things at Don Quijote,
you'll feel the **biggest discount impact** when you spend 30,000 yen or more (excluding tax).

Just a heads-up when using coupons!
You **cannot use screenshots** of coupons;
you need to display the actual coupon barcode from a page connected to the internet.
Make sure to open the coupon page before heading to the register!
When checking out, present your **physical passport at the tax-free counter**
**+ the discount coupon barcode** together.
Discounts cannot be applied retroactively after payment,
so you must **present the coupon before payment**.

It's important to note that the tax exemption system itself
will be changing in the middle of 2026.
Until October 31, 2026,
the current method of receiving tax exemption directly at the store will apply,
but from November 1, 2026, it is scheduled to switch to a **refund system**.
This means, **if you visit after November**,
you'll first pay the tax-inclusive price,
and then receive a refund after completing export verification during your departure process.
Since it will be different, make sure to double-check the latest tax exemption methods at that time!

3. My Personal Don Quijote Haul!
Instead of just listing common Don Quijote recommendations,
I've gathered only the items I personally bought in Fukuoka!
From tasty treats to kitchen gadgets and even items perfect for using right away on your trip,
I really stocked up on a diverse range of goodies! 😄
Let's dive into each one.

① MegRhythm
Carbonated Gel Pack for Legs
After a full day of exploring on your Japan trip,
your legs get seriously tired, right?
That's why I grabbed this MegRhythm Carbonated Gel Pack the moment I saw it!
One box contains 6 sheets (2 sheets × 3 packs),
and it's designed to be applied directly to your soles or calves.
As a cooling gel pack with carbonation and menthol,
it delivers a refreshing sensation that lasts for about 6 hours.

② Calamee Make Keep Square Pack
Unlike a regular sheet mask that you apply to your entire face,
this is a square-shaped partial sheet pack that's perfect for using before makeup.
One pack contains 50 sheets,
and with its combination of moisturizing agents and sebum-absorbing powder,
it's great for applying to your cheeks or areas where makeup tends to cake.

③ Ogiya Truffle Cheese
This is absolutely my favorite snack to go with drinks!
It's Ogiya's (扇屋) Truffle Cheese,
a product that features cheese sandwiched between thin cod sheets
with added truffle powder.
Each pouch is a compact 42g, making it easy to enjoy without feeling guilty.
The rich flavor of cheese combined with the truffle aroma
makes it absolutely perfect as a snack with beer or wine.

④ Nonoji Cabbage Slicer MAX
This time, I bought two of these truly practical items!
Its wide blade lets you effortlessly glide through cabbage,
making it perfect for quickly creating thin, fluffy shredded cabbage, just like you'd find at a tonkatsu restaurant.
If you love Japanese kitchenware, this is definitely worth seeking out at Don Quijote, and if the price isn't too steep, I'd even recommend it as a gift for family!

⑤ Japan-Exclusive Buldak Curry
I was a little surprised when I saw this.
Who would've thought I'd be buying Buldak all the way in Fukuoka's Don Quijote?!
But it turns out, the Buldak Curry in the photo
was specifically launched for the Japanese market by Samyang Foods,
making it a Japan-exclusive product.
Each pack is 150g, a single serving, making it perfect to enjoy immediately with rice,
and I tried it at home – it was delicious!

⑥ Bon Bon Berry Amaou Strawberry Snack
Since I was in Fukuoka, I had to grab a strawberry-themed item!
Amaou strawberries are incredibly famous here,
and with its pink packaging even saying 'Pretty Fukuoka',
it truly feels like an authentic local souvenir!
It's a snack where white chocolate has permeated strawberries,
and it's so deliciously sweet and tangy, I highly recommend it as a gift.

⑦ Laundrin Fabric Mist
This is the Laundrin Classic Floral, which became quite famous even in Korea
after being known as BTS Jungkook's favorite scent!
Starting with notes of peach and apple, moving to rose and jasmine,
and finishing with woody and musk scents, it's not as strong as a perfume, but rather
it's closer to the cozy, clean fragrance
you get from freshly laundered clothes.

⑧ Bleulett Decorral Toilet Cleaning Gel
Discovering handy household items like this is truly the charm of Don Quijote shopping!
It's a toilet cleaning and anti-fouling product
that you use by attaching flower-shaped gel dots to the inside of your toilet bowl.
According to the package, if flushed 15 times a day,
3 gels can last for approximately 1 month.

⑩ AGF Blendy Portion Coffee
And finally, something fantastic to use wisely once you're back home:
Blendy Portion Concentrated Coffee!
Just drop one portion into a cup, then
All you need to do is dilute it with milk or water!
It's incredibly convenient for your home cafe, and its compact size, smaller than a regular coffee concentrate bottle, made it a breeze to bring back as a travel souvenir!
Final Thoughts

If you're planning a shopping spree in Fukuoka,
Don Quijote is absolutely a must-visit spot!
Specifically, the Tenjin Nishidori branch I visited this time
is a brand-new store, having just opened in 2026, so it's incredibly clean and modern,
and spanning five floors from the 1st to the 5th, it offers everything from snacks and cosmetics to daily essentials,
and even character merchandise, making it super easy to browse everything in one go!
This time, instead of just stocking up on common Japanese medicines,
I focused on picking out products I personally wanted to try and taste,
which made the experience even more satisfying.

Most importantly, as your shopping total grows,
it's crucial to make sure you grab those tax exemption + extra discount coupons,
so be sure to have your passport and coupon links ready before you visit!

If you're pondering your Fukuoka Don Quijote shopping list,
feel free to check out the products I personally bought for inspiration,
and list only what you really need beforehand!
Otherwise, you might end up just browsing like I did,
and your shopping basket will be full in no time! 😉
