1. Fukuoka Airport Shop Locations

Once you clear international departure immigration at Fukuoka Airport,
you'll find most of the shopping stores conveniently clustered together.
Most shops are open from
07:00 to 21:00, and
the stores extend quite a bit inside, so
be sure to check your boarding gate location before you start exploring!
Air Bic Camera
Business Hours 07:00 ~ 21:00

This is the newly opened Air Bic Camera.
As an airport store, its scale isn't huge,
and rather than boasting a wide variety of products,
it felt more like a curated selection of popular items.

It's not just electronics;
they also carry character keychains from popular franchises like Pokémon and Sanrio.

You'll also find Nintendo Switch games
and gaming accessories like controllers.
Personally, I don't recommend buying a Nintendo in Japan.
Because getting after-sales service (AS) in your home country can be a real headache.
Please note, this is based on my personal experience!
I'm not sure if things have changed recently!

You'll find Kodak and Fujifilm disposable cameras, film,
and Instax products here too.
However, for disposable cameras,
Tenjin Don Quijote seemed a bit cheaper.
It felt like airport prices were slightly higher here.

One definite plus was that there weren't many customers,
so the wait time for duty-free purchases was short.
During my visit, they weren't selling alcohol,
and the selection was more limited than in city stores.
So, for items you're set on buying, it's best to grab them in the city beforehand.
Think of the airport shops as a chance to pick up anything you might have missed!
ENSKY GIFT SHOP
Business Hours 07:00 ~ 21:00

This is ENSKY GIFT SHOP,
where you can find a wide variety of character goods.

They had everything from Toy Story, Disney, and Pixar merchandise
to anime goods like Demon Slayer!

Beyond figures, they also stock puzzles and nanoblocks,
making it practically impossible for character fans to walk past!

If you weren't able to snag any gacha or figures during your trip,
this is a fantastic spot for a last-minute browse before your flight.
However, if you have a specific character in mind,
it's definitely less stressful to buy it when you see it in the city!
천정당 TENSHODO
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

You'll find traditional patterned pouches and wallets here,
along with lovely chopstick sets and plates.

While the prices were a little on the higher side,
if you're hunting for special gifts for parents or elders,
you'll definitely find some lovely treasures worth exploring.
Itoya
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

For stationery aficionados, Itoya is a name that needs no introduction!

I got to browse everything from stylish pens and pen cases
to those ingenious Shupatto bags.
The store was quite compact,
making it perfect for picking up a small gift or a single, special stationery item.
However, having experienced the grand Ginza Itoya, for me
this branch felt a little too modest... I was a bit disappointed.
(I couldn't help but wish they'd made the stationery store a bit bigger!)
UNIQLO
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

While they stocked a decent range of basic items
like t-shirts, knits, and outerwear, the store itself was a bit on the smaller side.
So, if you're planning a serious shopping spree,
it's probably best to hit up a UNIQLO in the city center beforehand.
Think of the airport branch as your last chance
to grab any items you missed out on during your trip.
K.MINAMOTO
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

If you're on the hunt for exquisite Japanese wagashi or elegant gift sets,
K.MINAMOTO is another fantastic spot.

They even had Amaou strawberry mochi,
a delightful Fukuoka-exclusive!
If you're a mochi lover,
you'll be thrilled by the variety of flavors available – definitely worth a peek!
Butter Butler
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

This is a haven for butter-infused desserts,
selling everything from rich butter financiers to decadent cakes.
When I visited, they even had airport-exclusive items,
making it a perfect spot to grab some last-minute souvenir sweets.
BUTTER & bee HAKATA
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

This delightful dessert shop specializes in treats made with butter and honey.
They had their top 3 popular products clearly marked,
which made choosing a breeze!

I ended up buying the Amaou strawberry butter mille-feuille
as a gift for my colleagues, and everyone absolutely raved about how delicious it was!
I asked for photos so I could write a review, but why didn't anyone send them?! Come on, guys!
Seven-Eleven
Opening Hours: 07:00 ~ 21:00

I used to always just grab water from vending machines, but a convenience store has finally opened up,
meaning you can now fully indulge in a 'convenience store raid' right at the airport!

They had all sorts of goodies perfect for a quick bite before your flight,
like cup noodles, bread, and delightful desserts.
When I visited, it was incredibly crowded –
I waited about 30 minutes just to check out a single item!
It's so popular that items fly off the shelves quickly.
FYI, they also had frozen items like ice cream!

They had plenty of popular cup noodle brands in stock!
Before, I used to buy things beforehand, before even getting to the airport,
and check them all in. But having a convenience store right inside the airport is a huge plus.
After browsing around myself, I realized that for items like Uniqlo clothes or electronics,
where you need to compare different varieties, it’s best to buy them downtown.
However, for last-minute gifts and snacks, the airport shops are perfectly fine.
Even if you suddenly remember a gift you missed buying, don't worry—there are still plenty of places to check out,
so if you have some time before your flight, take a stroll and explore.
Even if you're shopping right up until the last minute,
make sure you *definitely* don't miss your boarding time!
