Four Seasons Sydney Review 2026: Harbor View Rooms, Pool & Breakfast
Dreaming of a Sydney honeymoon? We compare top harbor view hotels like Four Seasons, Shangri-La, and Park Hyatt, sharing insider tips and a detailed look at the Four Seasons Sydney experience.

If you're planning a honeymoon to Sydney,
I absolutely recommend staying at least one night
at a Sydney harbor view hotel overlooking the Opera House.
I chose to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney,
which offers a stunning, unobstructed view of both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
In this post, I'll compare Sydney's top hotels—the Four Seasons, Shangri-La, and Park Hyatt—
and share a detailed review of the Four Seasons rooms, pool, and breakfast!
I hope this helps you plan your dream trip!
Plus, I'll also share some insider tips on how to book Sydney accommodations on a budget.
1. Sydney Harbor View Hotels

📌 Top 3 Sydney Harbor View Hotels
· Four Seasons
· Shangri-La Sydney
· Park Hyatt
· Four Seasons: Just a 4-minute walk from Circular Quay Station.
The Full Harbour View rooms offer beautiful views of both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
It was recently renovated, so everything feels very modern and fresh.
→ Around ~$256 to ~$512 per night
· Shangri-La Sydney: Perched a bit higher up the hill than the Four Seasons.
While the view is incredible, it’s a bit further from the station.
Some reviews mention that it feels a bit dated compared to the Four Seasons.
→ Around ~$256 to ~$512 per night
· Park Hyatt: Offers the absolute closest view of the Opera House.
The location is unbeatable, and you can enjoy the stunning scenery right from your balcony.
The only real drawback is the steep price tag...
→ Around ~$768 to ~$1,280 per night
📍 Four Seasons Hotel Sydney
199 George St, The Rocks NSW 2000, Australia
📍 Shangri-La Hotel Sydney
176 Cumberland St, The Rocks NSW 2000, Australia
📍 Park Hyatt Sydney
7 Hickson Rd, The Rocks NSW 2000, Australia
Out of these options, I wanted a place close to Circular Quay Station
that offered a balanced view and a reasonable price point.
So, I ended up choosing the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney for my trip!
2. Deluxe Full Harbour View Room

📌 Room Types
City View, Partial Harbour View, Full Harbour View
To make sure I got to see both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge,
I opted to stay in a Deluxe Full Harbour View Room.
I booked a room with two single beds,
and the room was actually surprisingly spacious! (26m² / approx. 280 sq ft)

Sitting on the sofa and just staring out at the view
of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge is my absolute favorite memory.
The weather was gorgeous and the scenery looked so unreal
that I found myself just spacing out and staring at the view for hours, haha.

Since the entire hotel was recently renovated,
both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-maintained.
There wasn't a single sign of wear and tear,
making it my favorite accommodation in Sydney!
I booked my stay for around ~$384 per night,
but if you visit on a weekday during the off-season, you can get it for much cheaper.
(Considering other standard hotels in Sydney cost around ~$192 per night,
this felt like a great deal for the view you get.)

3. Detailed Room Review

Since Circular Quay is literally a harbor,
you can watch all kinds of cruises and boats coming and going every single day.
It was so cool to see massive cruise ships dock right in front of us!

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney uses their signature custom bedding,
and it was so fluffy and luxurious that I slept like a baby.
There were 2 bottles of water provided, and they are complimentary and unlimited!

The TV has Google Chromecast built-in,
so we could stream YouTube and our favorite shows while enjoying our staycation.
The minibar came equipped with a capsule coffee machine, an electric kettle,
various drinks, and tea bags.

I'm usually super sensitive about bathroom cleanliness, but
I loved how absolutely spotless and well-maintained it was here.
(They even provide turn-down service, cleaning the room twice a day!)
The toiletries are from CODAGE PARIS.
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion
were provided in multi-use bottles,
while single-use items included cotton pads, cotton swabs, and shower caps.

You can find the slippers and bathrobes inside the closet!
As expected of a 5-star hotel, the slippers were thick and plush,
making me feel pampered throughout my entire stay. 😌😌
4. The Swimming Pool

Pool Hours: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
The pool is located on the 3rd floor, the same level as the spa and fitness center.
It's positioned right where you can look up at the stunning Four Seasons building,
and there is also a heated jacuzzi nestled in one corner.

Tip: The pool is quite deep, so if you prefer warmer waters, the heated jacuzzi area...
I highly recommend going for a swim!
(Just a heads up, the water gets quite deep near the sunbeds)

One day, we spent a relaxing morning swimming
and enjoying our staycation.
We even sipped on some Bundaberg we picked up from the local supermarket.😊
Complimentary body towels, bottled water, lemon water, and sunscreen
are all provided at the pool area, so no need to pack your own.
5. Breakfast

(By the way, the photo above is the complimentary coffee bar
open during breakfast hours. Even if you didn't add breakfast to your booking,
you can still grab a free coffee to go in the morning!)

Breakfast Hours: 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Breakfast is served at the MODE Kitchen & Bar on the 1st floor.
It costs $60 per person, and we decided to add it for just one day!
True to Sydney's reputation for amazing fresh produce, there was a huge variety of
incredibly sweet fruits, so I made sure to load up my plate.

As a huge pastry lover, the massive bakery selection made me so happy...
In addition to breakfast staples like pastries, cereals, and fruits,
there was also a fantastic variety of hot dishes.
(They even had kimchi fried rice!
There were so many dishes that I'll have to share more buffet photos in a separate post.)

You can also order fresh dishes like custom omelets and eggs benedict
directly to your table.
And since Australia is famous for its incredible coffee, you can also order
barista-made lattes, flat whites, and more right from your seat.
It's known as one of the most luxurious and delicious hotel breakfasts in the world,
so I highly recommend adding it to your stay!
(Especially if you are on a honeymoon in Sydney,
definitely add it for at least one day to get the full staycation experience! 👍🏻👍🏻)
✔ Anyone looking for a 5-star hotel for a Sydney honeymoon
✔ Anyone who wants to experience a Sydney harbor view hotel for at least one night
✔ Anyone hoping for a luxury stay that isn't overly expensive per night
If any of these sound like you, this is the Sydney accommodation I highly recommend!
While enjoying the hotel is amazing, you can't miss out on sightseeing—
and with Circular Quay Station right in front of the hotel
and the Rocks Market so close by, it was incredibly convenient.
