For our honeymoon, we wanted to go somewhere truly special and off the beaten path,
and after weighing so many options, we chose the breathtaking Fiji in the South Pacific .
Of all the places we stayed, we had the absolute best time at the
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Natadola Beach .
While the room conditions and resort dining were both spectacular,
the infinity pool, main pool, and water activities
made our honeymoon incredibly memorable—we highly recommend this destination!
Here is our review of InterContinental Fiji's pools, amenities,
and snorkeling tour information .

Fiji is a popular luxury getaway destination, especially for travelers from Australia,
so the InterContinental Resort can be on the pricier side.
However, prices vary quite a bit depending on the booking platform,
so it's highly recommended to compare rates before booking!

1. Infinity Pool
The infinity pool at the InterContinental Fiji Resort is
located closest to the beautiful beach.
The pool itself is impressively wide and quite deep.
In the deepest section, my feet couldn't touch the bottom,
so it seemed to be around 1.7 meters (about 5.5 feet) deep .
Even though the resort was fairly busy,
there weren't many people in this pool,
allowing us to enjoy a peaceful and spacious swim every time.
There are plenty of sunbeds right in front of the infinity pool,
complete with shady parasols .
You can also order food right to your chair. Relaxing here after a snorkeling tour
with a fresh pizza felt like absolute paradise!
One of the reasons we recommend Fiji as a honeymoon destination
is that it's highly popular with Australian travelers,
making it a friendly, English-speaking environment where everyone feels incredibly welcome.
The Fijian people are fundamentally warm and hospitable,
and with a wonderful mix of Western and Asian travelers,
we felt completely comfortable exploring the resort and the town!
Staring out at the lush green lawns and the stunning beach
from the InterContinental Fiji infinity pool,
it felt like we had found a slice of heaven.
Another great detail was that the pool water didn't smell like chlorine at all.
Even after swimming for hours, there was no harsh chemical smell,
and maybe because of a saltwater mix, floating felt completely effortless.

2. Main Pool
The Main Pool is much longer than the infinity pool,
but it is much shallower.
The depth varies quite a bit depending on the area,
with the shallowest sections being perfect for toddlers to splash around safely.
Because of these varying depths,
while it’s an amazing honeymoon resort,
it also looked like a fantastic place for family vacations.
And since we stayed in a Pool Access Room ,
our door opened directly to the main pool area,
making it incredibly convenient to hop in and out.
Opening the door in the morning to the sight of lush gardens and the blue pool
really set the perfect, romantic honeymoon vibe.
The main pool also features fun water fountains,
making it a hit for kids.
And of course, it was just as fun for me!

3. Snorkeling Tour
You can book the snorkeling tour at Reef Safari ,
located right to the left of the infinity pool.
You can also book using your in-room phone.
Since the staff had already clocked out when I called after checking in on the first day,
I made the reservation over the phone early the next morning.
Make sure to arrive 15 minutes before the departure time
to fill out and sign the safety waiver forms,
and listen to a brief orientation.
At Reef Safari, you can enjoy scuba diving, get your diving certification,
go on snorkel tours, take boat rides, and more.
The snorkel tour is 69 FJD per adult.
You can borrow life jackets from the Reef Safari office,
and when it’s time to depart, you’ll take a quick 2 to 3-minute walk
over to the boat boarding area.
The boat has a glass-bottom center,
letting you look straight down into the sea.
The weather was absolutely perfect, so the ride to the snorkel spot got me super excited!
The boat ride takes more than 10 minutes.
The snorkeling spot is actually quite deep, so if you're a beginner,
it might feel a bit intimidating.
I'm not exactly a skilled freediver myself,
so it was a bit of a shame that I had to dive down deep to get a close look at the fish.
Still, the water was incredibly clear and calm.
Spotting the little fish hiding inside the sea anemones was such a delight!
We spent a little less than an hour at the snorkeling spot.
It would have been great if we had visited about two spots and stayed out for 2 to 3 hours in total,
so considering the travel time on the boat and the cost,
I felt the actual snorkeling time was a bit too short.
Still, swimming in such a pristine, clear ocean
with no other crowds—only our tour group from
the InterContinental Resort—
made the whole experience incredibly peaceful and comfortable.
I highly recommend doing it at least once during your stay.
After resting for a bit post-snorkeling,
we spent some time playing in the water at Natadola Beach ,
and it was exactly the kind of dreamy, gorgeous beach you'd picture for a tropical honeymoon.
If you're looking for a truly special getaway destination, I highly recommend Fiji for your honeymoon!!
By the time we got back from the tour, the tide had completely gone out,
making the water so shallow that swimming by the shore was a bit of a challenge,
but the water was exceptionally clear and transparent,
and we got to spot all kinds of marine life like moray eels and lobsters .
So gorgeous that I can't recommend it enough for a honeymoon:
Natadola Beach, Fiji
To this day, it remains in my personal TOP 3 most beautiful beaches.
#TropicalGetaway #HoneymoonDestination
Aside from that, with various amenities and fun programs like hermit crab races
happening throughout the day,
we never felt bored for a single second staying at the resort,
and we felt like time was just flying by.
4. Fitness Center
The fitness center at the InterContinental Fiji Resort
isn't massive in size,
but the facilities are incredibly clean and all the equipment felt brand new.
If you love staying active, popping in during the morning or evening
for a light cardio session would be a great idea.
