Echoes
I stumbled upon this cafe in India for a late lunch. It was almost 3 PM, and the heat was pretty intense, so I wasn't expecting much, just hoping to quickly get inside. But right from the entrance, I thought, "Oh...? This isn't bad at all!"

1. An Unexpectedly Chic Vibe

From the entrance to the back areas, it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the design.

There were outdoor and upstairs seating areas, but given the scorching heat, no one was brave enough to sit there.

The interior felt like this. If I hadn't seen local Indian patrons, I might not have believed it was a cafe in India at all.

Even in the late afternoon, it was surprisingly busy.
2. The Unique Communication Cards

Upon sitting down, I noticed a set of cards on the table. This particular one was the last in the stack, which included phrases like "Bill, please" or "Water, please" – essentially, common requests you'd make at a cafe. The final card was for calling a manager if further communication was needed.
It turns out, this incredible cafe employs staff who are speech and hearing-impaired. The card system allows for seamless communication, and if something more complex arises, guests can simply show the 'call manager' card.
Honestly, though, the service was so efficient and the process so clear that I didn't even need to use the cardbook much.
3. Delicious Fusion Flavors
The menu was a delightful blend of traditional Indian dishes and innovative fusion creations. Here's a peek at some of what we ordered:

We enjoyed chicken served with an array of dipping sauces, Indian-style seasoned chicken, a tasty pizza, and a shake that looked sweet enough to give you a sugar rush just by looking at it!

There were other dishes too, but we were too busy savoring them to snap photos.
The food was delicious! Since it was primarily fusion, the flavors weren't as intensely spiced or aromatic as traditional Indian cuisine, which can be a welcome change for some palates.
Every shake we tried was incredibly sweet. I chugged mine first to quench my thirst, and while it was refreshingly sweet, it was almost too sweet, making me want another drink right after... haha!
4. The Bill

After ordering a variety of dishes, our bill came to 4,571 Indian Rupees. This was roughly ~$46, and it was for a group, not just me!
Earlier, it was a bit tricky to take photos with so many customers, so I captured some interior shots on our way out.

The last photo shows a waiting area near the entrance. No one was actually waiting, but it seemed like a popular spot for people to snap a few photos before heading in.
Echoes is typically open from 12 PM to 11:30 PM. On weekends, they seem to stay open a little later.
Echoes Cafe is a place where people who cannot speak work. Customers can communicate their needs, such as "Please bring the bill" or "Please give me water," through a 'cardbook'. If additional communication is needed, they can show a card to call a manager.
The menu at Echoes Cafe consists of Indian and fusion dishes. As it's fusion cuisine, a distinctive feature is that the flavors are not as strong and the spices are not as intense as those found in traditional Indian restaurants.
According to an article, when several people ordered many different items, the total bill came to 4,571 rupees. This is equivalent to approximately ~$46.
