Check-in Counter
When I traveled (Jan 29 - Feb 01, 2026),
the Eastar Jet check-in counter welcomed me with a cute Snoopy collaboration!
After work, I was so excited that I arrived at Incheon Airport early.
I didn't expect the counter to be open, but there was a staff member.
When I asked if I could check my luggage in early, they happily allowed it,
so I could wander around the airport without any heavy bags.

Boarding Gate
It's nothing special, but it feels empty to write a flight review without a photo, so I'm sharing it...
This photo is of the boarding gate I mistakenly went to...
Even though I was flying Eastar Jet, I saw T'way, and since both airlines have red in their branding, I didn't think much of it...
What made me realize something was wrong was simply that there were no people there... hahaha
But since T'way is changing its branding to T'way Trinity, it should be less confusing now... hahaha
Flight Review

Eastar Jet Review: Incheon (ICN) Terminal 1 ➡️ Pudong (PVG) Terminal 2

The Eastar Jet plane I boarded for my Shanghai trip
had a 3-3 seating arrangement.

When I checked in at the counter,
perhaps thanks to my reliable sibling, I was lucky enough to get an emergency exit row seat!
(Even though I couldn't enjoy alcohol with my pho in this seat,)
I was able to fly comfortably with plenty of legroom.

Can you see it? All this space?!
I totally understood why people pay extra for emergency exit seats.

For reference, this is what a regular seat feels like, right?!

In the seat pocket in front of me,
there was an in-flight café catalog and even a hygiene bag.

I didn't read them cover-to-cover, but I quickly flipped through them!
But what caught my eye more than the snack menu that day was...

The safety information card.... lol
It wasn't my first time sitting in an emergency exit row,
but this was the first time an airline, like Eastar Jet,
had a flight attendant provide additional safety instructions specifically for these seats.
Feeling the responsibility, I thoroughly read the safety instruction card.
It felt like a big responsibility, but at the same time, it made Eastar Jet feel incredibly trustworthy, lol!

Having flown again after a long time, I noticed that power banks now
can no longer be stored in bags in the overhead compartment.
Instead, they must be kept in the seat pocket in front of you.
This was new to me!
It seems the regulations for power banks keep changing so often
due to explosion risks...😂

Since it was a night flight departing at 00:30,
the cabin lights were dimmed,
allowing me to get some sweet sleep and comfortably fly all the way to Pudong Airport!
Eastar Jet Review [Pudong (PVG) Terminal 2 ➡️ Incheon (ICN) Terminal 1]

Lately, I've been lucky enough to get seat upgrades or
be assigned emergency exit row seats, so sitting in a regular seat after a while,
I definitely felt how cramped it was more than ever before.🤣
That's why I understood even more
why everyone loves emergency exit seats.

Since the return flight was also in the early morning,
the cabin lights were dimmed for a good sleep,
and I didn't feel the narrowness of the seat at all, sleeping soundly and returning home comfortably.

✔︎ Eastar Jet Review: Shanghai, China Trip
On the way to Shanghai, I was lucky enough to get an emergency exit row seat,
and on the way back, I used a regular seat,
making it a trip where I could truly feel the difference between the two seats.
Money truly is a wonderful thing.❤️
What's more, when flying Eastar Jet, if you're seated in an emergency exit row,
the crew provides an additional, separate safety briefing for those passengers.
This meant I got to re-check the safety procedures one more time,
and it made Eastar Jet feel incredibly dependable – I think I'll trust them for future flights!!
Also, taking the Eastar Jet night flight from Incheon to Shanghai
meant I could depart right after work,
which was great for maximizing my travel itinerary.
Next up, I'll probably be sharing my review of a Jeju Air flight to Osaka.
Bye-!
