Dookki Thao Dien Review 2026: Korean Buffet Prices
Craving Korean comfort food in Ho Chi Minh City? Dookki Thao Dien offers an all-you-can-eat tteokbokki buffet for under $6. Here is our honest review!

Have you ever tried Korean tteokbokki in Vietnam?
It actually has quite a few unique twists compared to the original locations in Korea,
and the price is incredibly cheap—only around ~$5 per person!
It is easily one of our favorite go-to spots in Ho Chi Minh City.
We decided to celebrate the Children's Day holiday with a feast,
making it our second visit in just a month!
Located on the 5th floor of Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien,
this Korean tteokbokki buffet is a regular date-night spot for us.

I snapped this photo mid-feast, so it might look a bit messy,
but my husband was sweet enough to peel and add boiled eggs to our pot.
For those unfamiliar, Dookki is an all-you-can-eat Korean tteokbokki buffet
located right on the 5th floor of Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien in District 2 (near An Phu Station).

📍 Dookki Thao Dien
Trung Tâm Thương Mại Vincom Mega Mall, 161 Võ Nguyên Giáp, An Khánh, Hồ Chí Minh 700000 Vietnam
You can find it easily on the 5th floor of Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien.
Operating Hours:
Mon - Fri: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Sat: 10:30 AM - 10:00 PM
Sun: 09:30 AM - 10:00 PM
Note that last call for entry seems to be around 8:30 PM.
We tried showing up around 9:00 PM once and were turned away, so don't cut it too close!
Buffet Price:
Adults: 139,000 VND (approx. $5.50 USD)
Children: 69,000 VND (approx. $2.70 USD)

When we arrived around 6:00 PM, the restaurant was relatively quiet.
But by 7:00 PM, a massive dinner crowd rushed in. It fills up fast!

Just like in Korea, you start by boiling your base broth,
then head to the sauce bar to mix your custom tteokbokki sauce
before loading up your bowl with fresh ingredients!

I was excited to try the Inari sushi (stuffed tofu skins) from the self-bar,
so I grabbed one of each variety.
Unfortunately, the rice inside was a bit dry and bland.
I ended up saving the leftovers to toss into our fried rice later.
Next time, I'll probably skip these and load up on fried chicken instead!
One of the best things about Dookki in Vietnam
is that you get unlimited Korean fried chicken alongside your tteokbokki!
They offer about 5 to 6 different flavors.
I actually didn't even get to try the chicken this time because I was so full!

Usually, beef slices are an extra charge,
but they were giving them out for free—possibly because of the holiday!
The meat didn't look exceptionally high quality,
so we ended up cooking it and saving it to stir-fry with our rice at the end.

Pro-tip for Western palates who love a kick:
Grab a generous handful of fresh cilantro and chopped bird's eye chilies
and dump them straight into your tteokbokki pot for an amazing flavor boost!

On our visit last month, the ice cream freezer was completely empty.
This time, it was fully stocked with four flavors:
Strawberry, chocolate, melon, and blueberry!

They even have crispy waffle cones available.
(Though we were far too stuffed to manage dessert by the end!)

Tada!
They actually have fresh scallops at the self-bar here, so we loaded up on those.
We threw in cabbage, bok choy, fish cakes, mushrooms,
cheese-stuffed rice cakes, pizza-stuffed rice cakes, and classic tteok.
Look at that gorgeous pot bubble away!

We topped it off with cilantro, chilies, and crunchy tempura flakes.

(No photos of us eating because we devoured it too quickly! lol)
After polishing off our seafood-rich tteokbokki, it was time for round two.
My partner brought over rice, glass noodles (japchae), and seaweed to make the ultimate fried rice.
Stir-frying it in the leftover sauce was pure heaven.
We had to rush off to District 1 right after to meet up with a friend,
so this was a quick meal, but writing this has me craving it all over again...

The ingredient selection is very similar to what you'd find in Korea.
On our last visit, they only had specialty rice cakes like cheese, pizza, and sweet potato.
This time, they finally had classic tteokbokki rice cakes in stock!
While the sauce variety isn't massive,
they have the signature Dookki sauce and several spicy options.
Mixing 2 or 3 of them together creates the perfect spicy broth.

They have Korean ramen noodles, Vietnamese instant noodles,
and two types of glass noodles.
I'm definitely trying the wide Chinese glass noodles next time!

Oh, and a quick shoutout to the fresh watermelon sitting right next to the noodle station—
it was incredibly sweet and juicy!
I ended up eating six slices of watermelon all by myself after the fried rice.

Here are the four types of Inari sushi, alongside sausages and salad dressings
to customize your side dishes.

They also have premium instant ramens (like Buldak spicy chicken noodles).
You can cook these in dedicated hot pots just like at a Korean convenience store!

The drink station features various sodas, water,
and even a DIY milk tea and matcha latte bar complete with boba pearls!
You practically don't even need to go to a cafe afterward.
Fair warning: the milk tea is extremely sweet.
I had the matcha boba tea last time, but this visit I stuck to water and Sprite.
Dookki is definitely a monthly requirement for us.
I'll make sure to write an even more detailed review on our next run!
