Dongtan Yeoul Park 2026: Water Ribbon, Parking & Fountain Fun
Planning a family outing to Dongtan? Explore Yeoul Park's thrilling Water Ribbon water play, mesmerizing musical fountain, and vast green spaces for endless fun!

Our recent trip to Dongtan Yeoul Park had one main goal in mind:
Water Ribbon!
Even though the peak water play season is winding down, we heard that Water Ribbon operates until 09/30/2026. So, we decided to squeeze in one last end-of-summer splash with the kids!

To be honest, Dongtan Yeoul Park offered so much more than just water play. It's incredibly spacious with tons of activities, making it almost a shame to visit just for Water Ribbon!
We had a blast at Water Ribbon, enjoyed the musical fountain, and even played badminton on the lawn after sunset!
It's a fantastic spot for families to spend a weekend afternoon, and I'm excited to share more about Dongtan Yeoul Park with you.
Dongtan Yeoul Park Parking

If you're driving to Dongtan Yeoul Park, the first thing on your mind will likely be parking.
Yeoul Park offers both underground parking and separate free and paid parking lots.
Since we were with kids and wanted to minimize the walk to Water Ribbon, we opted for the paid parking lot this time.

We arrived around 4 PM on a Saturday and parked until about 7:30 PM. For some reason, we weren't charged when we exited the parking lot. While this was a pleasant surprise for us, it's generally best to assume standard parking fees apply.
If you prefer to save on parking, feel free to use the free parking area. Just remember to bring scooters for the kids to make the walk easier!
Dongtan Yeoul Park Water Ribbon

While most local splash pads close earlier, Water Ribbon is a fantastic exception, operating until 09/30/2026!
Operating Hours:
Monday - Sunday / 12:00 PM - 5:45 PM
The water feature runs for 45 minutes at the top of each hour, followed by a 15-minute break.
Please note that Water Ribbon is closed every Thursday for cleaning and maintenance.

As soon as we arrived at Water Ribbon, the kids were instantly ready for some aquatic fun! While some younger children wore swimsuits, they are not mandatory.
If you're just planning a casual splash, regular clothes are fine. However, we highly recommend bringing a change of clothes for after your playtime.
And don't forget a towel – even just for drying off your feet!

One important tip: there's very little shade around Water Ribbon.
It's a good idea to pack hats or a sun umbrella to stay protected from the sun.
Musical Fountain and Wall Waterfall

While we were having a blast at Water Ribbon, we suddenly heard music begin to play.
It was the Dongtan Yeoul Park Musical Fountain!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and after playing at Water Ribbon, the musical fountain started right at 5:00 PM.
If you want to enjoy both Water Ribbon and the musical fountain, aiming to visit around 4:00 PM on a weekend is a great plan.

Just behind the musical fountain, further down, you'll also find the Wall Waterfall.
In front of the Wall Waterfall, mist sprays out like a gentle fog, creating a refreshing atmosphere.
Standing in front of the Wall Waterfall, you'll get delightfully soaked, much like being caught in a light drizzle.
The kids absolutely loved it, dancing and riding their scooters in front of the Wall Waterfall while the musical fountain played. It was pure joy! :>
International Artists' Garden Lawn Plaza

As the sun began to set, we moved our fun to the Lawn Plaza, part of the International Artists' Garden.
We pulled out the badminton rackets we'd brought along and enjoyed a lively family game.

The Yeoul Park Lawn Plaza is wonderfully open and spacious, offering a great sense of freedom without feeling overly crowded. It's the perfect place for kids to run around and play to their heart's content.
Beyond badminton, it's also ideal for other outdoor activities like catchball, throwing a frisbee, or flying a kite.
Dongtan Yeoul Park is truly a fantastic destination for a weekend family outing.
It's wonderful to find such an expansive, open space right in the middle of the city.
Our primary reason for visiting this time was Water Ribbon, but we ended up spending much longer at Yeoul Park than we anticipated, enjoying all it had to offer.

From splashing around at Water Ribbon and watching the musical fountain, to cooling off at the Wall Waterfall and playing badminton on the lawn as evening falls – there's a full day of fun waiting.
If you're wondering where to take the kids in Dongtan this weekend, pack your essentials and head over to Dongtan Yeoul Park! :>
