Matsuyama Dogo Onsen Accommodation Recommendation
Dogo Prince Hotel Review
If you're trying to figure out where to stay in Matsuyama,
I highly recommend the Dogo Prince Hotel!
Since it's nestled right in the historic Dogo Onsen area,
it's the perfect base to enjoy both sightseeing and hot springs to your heart's content.
The Dogo Prince
is also surprisingly close to downtown Matsuyama.
🚋 Just hop on the tram, and you can reach downtown in about 15 minutes!
You can easily explore Dogo Onsen
and head into downtown Matsuyama without any hassle,
making your travel route incredibly smooth and convenient! :)

Experiencing a True Onsen Right Inside the Hotel
The biggest highlight of Dogo Prince is, without a doubt, its onsen facilities!
In addition to the spacious indoor communal baths,
there are beautifully maintained outdoor open-air baths (rotenburo),
making it the ultimate spot to melt away all your travel fatigue.
After a full day of sightseeing,
the exact moment you sink into the warm, soothing water,
you get that amazing feeling: "Ah, I'm finally in Japan!"
If a great hot spring is high on your priority list,
this hotel will absolutely exceed your expectations :)

The absolute biggest draw of Dogo Prince is hands down the onsen facilities!!!!
Aside from the spacious indoor baths,
they have a fantastic outdoor bath where you can soak while feeling the gentle breeze.
Sinking in after a long day of exploring instantly washes away all your exhaustion :)
What really stood out to me was how thoughtfully prepared the amenities were!
For families traveling with babies,
✔️ Baby tubs
✔️ Baby chairs
✔️ Washing basins, and more
are kept clean and ready for use,
which made me realize this is a wonderful place to enjoy an onsen with little ones.
And the part that touched me the most...🥹
Instead of just having one generic shampoo, conditioner, and body wash,
they provide separate products for adults and babies, with multiple brands to choose from!
You can actually pick and choose according to your preference.
Usually, hotel baths only offer basic amenities,
but here, they’ve paid attention to the smallest details. My satisfaction level was truly off the charts!
If hot springs are a priority for you,
you'll have zero regrets choosing this accommodation.

Traditional & Western Rooms to Suit Your Vibe
Dogo Prince offers a wide variety of room types,
so you can choose the perfect option to match your travel style!
Japanese-Style Rooms (Washitsu)
The ultimate way to soak up those authentic Japanese vibes!
With classic tatami straw-mat flooring, low tables,
and cozy futon bedding laid out for sleeping, this traditional style of accommodation
is incredibly popular, especially for first-time visitors to Japan.
It's also a fantastic option for family trips or when traveling with parents!

Western-Style Rooms (Yashitsu)
If you prefer standard beds, don't worry, they have Western-style rooms too!
These clean and neat rooms are perfect for relaxing,
giving you a great spot to catch up on sleep after a long day of travel.
Highly recommended if you feel most comfortable in a familiar bed!

Even Better for Families! Kids' Play Space👧🧸
As a popular choice for families traveling with children, Dogo Prince
also features a dedicated kids' play area.
While it's not massive,
it's the perfect, safe space for the little ones to burn off some energy for a bit!
✔️ A fun ball pit for jumping around
✔️ A cozy comic book corner for quiet reading time
✔️ Even a mini slide that's safe for toddlers!
It's a wonderful setup where kids can play to their heart's content,
and parents can enjoy a well-deserved moment to sit back and relax.
Families are sure to love this thoughtful touch!
With hot springs to enjoy, local sightseeing, and even a dedicated play area for kids,
it’s an incredibly satisfying choice for a multi-generational family getaway or a trip to Matsuyama with the kids.

Wrap-up
