Worried about booking the Ironcycle Test Run on your Disney Cruise? Get our ultimate guide to securing your spot on this thrilling onboard roller coaster in 2026. Ride it!

After sharing insights on the Singapore Disney Adventure last time, I realized many of you were worried about securing reservations for one of the most talked-about activities on board, yet struggled to find reliable information!
I'm talking about the thrilling Ironcycle Test Run!
My child even declared it the most memorable moment of our entire Singapore trip, so it would be a real shame to miss out because of the notorious 'booking frenzy,' wouldn't it?
I've put together the most crucial information you'll need first. Here's your 'onboard essential guide' for a guaranteed ride!
Your First Priority Upon Boarding: Connect to Onboard WI-FI and the Disney Cruise Line App
You know how cell service can drop once the ship sets sail, right?
Make sure to change your phone settings immediately after boarding.
-> Initially, while docked, you might have basic internet access. However, once you depart, you risk incurring exorbitant international roaming charges if you don't activate airplane mode.
-> For peace of mind, simply switch to airplane mode and connect to the ship's Wi-Fi. This is essential to access all the fantastic onboard programs and, crucially, the booking system.
-> Therefore, gather any important information you need from the internet *before* setting sail.
-> All critical information for your cruise, including booking times, is accessible via the app, so familiarize yourself with it beforehand.

The Main Thrill: Ironcycle Test Run
This isn't just any roller coaster; it's reportedly the first in Asia and the longest at sea! Imagine soaring 150 feet above the ocean on Tony Stark's latest prototype bike. It's an absolutely exhilarating experience! I highly, highly recommend it!
-> My child, who is about 46.5 inches (118 cm) tall, fortunately met the 47-inch (120 cm) height requirement with shoes on and was able to ride!><
-> Personally, I found that closed-toe Crocs were permitted for the ride.

You're not allowed to carry phones while riding, so I couldn't snap any pictures.
Essential Booking & Riding Tips! ❤️❤️❤️
Frustrated by the lack of clear information? Don't worry, I've got the definitive guide to this crucial attraction right here.
First and foremost, the critical point is to 'check the booking open time on the Navigator app and be ready to click like lightning!'
You won't be able to ride the attraction on the first day of your cruise; reservations open for the following day. If you miss out on the first day's booking window, you'll have to try again for the next day, and the competition only gets fiercer!
How do you find out this elusive booking open time?
While rumors online suggested it opens at 3:30 PM, that wasn't my experience...
I actually stumbled upon the attraction area and asked a crew member directly, who then told me the booking open time for that day.
Please note that this time can vary, and different crew members might give different information. If you'd like to know the specific itinerary I used and the crew member I spoke with, feel free to ask in the comments.
Also,
Remember that you can only experience this roller coaster once during your entire cruise itinerary, even if you secure a reservation!
And here's a little secret: if only one family member successfully books, sometimes (at the crew's discretion) they might allow a second person to ride with them since it's a two-seater. (This isn't guaranteed, so don't count on it!)
+ A quick heads-up:
For this ride, all personal belongings are prohibited. That means no phones, no water bottles, no fans – nothing can be taken with you.
Also, your reservation time isn't when you immediately hop on. We had to wait an additional 30-50 minutes after our booking slot. Factor in that extra waiting time!
+
There's also a 'Standby' time announced on the app for those without reservations, but honestly, I never saw it active. Your best bet is definitely to succeed with a reservation rather than banking on standby.
+
Other attractions like 'Ant-Man and The Wasp: Pym Quantum Racer' or 'Groot's Galaxy Spin' usually have shorter wait times, but they might be a bit tame for adults. Kids, however, usually enjoy them once or twice.

I truly hope you all conquer the booking challenge and successfully experience the Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster, one of the most exciting activities on board!
