03. Menu Recommendations & Prices

Chicken Wonton Soup
Price: ~$8
On a chilly day, or if the AC is blasting (which it often is in Hong Kong!), a warm bowl of soup hits the spot. These wontons are like delightful little dumplings, easy to slurp down. The chicken is tender and boneless, making it super convenient to enjoy.

With a clear, savory chicken broth and soft wontons, it’s incredibly comforting. The flavor is clean and not overly strong, perfect for a gentle start to your meal. Highly recommended!

Shanghai Soup Dumplings with Crab Meat & Flying Fish Roe
Price: ~$4
These Shanghai-style soup dumplings (Xiaolongbao) filled with crab meat and flying fish roe are an absolute delight. Just remember the trick to eating them!

When enjoying Xiaolongbao, carefully tear a small piece of the dumpling skin to release the hot, savory broth first. I managed to collect a whole spoonful of delicious broth from one! Dipping them in ginger-infused soy sauce really elevates the flavor.

Seafood Stuffed Eggplant with Spicy Sichuan Sauce
Price: ~$4
This fried eggplant dish is a true Dim Dim Sum signature and a must-try according to countless recommendations! It features succulent eggplant stuffed with seafood, all generously coated in a spicy Sichuan-style special sauce.

The eggplant is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with plump seafood and shrimp filling that adds a fantastic texture. The spicy sauce pairs incredibly well, especially with a cold beer!

I was excited to find a local Hong Kong craft beer brand on the menu – a unique touch that I was very satisfied with!

The Peak Pilsner (Hong Kong Beer)
Price: ~$8
This Pilsner is wonderfully crisp and refreshing, making it the perfect accompaniment to a delicious meal. It’s a great choice for those who enjoy a clean, light beer.

Hong Kong Beer Amber Ale
Price: ~$8
The Amber Ale offers a balanced profile of nutty, sweet, and slightly bitter notes. It complements richer dim sum dishes or intensely flavored items like the spicy eggplant perfectly!

Interestingly, my beer was served in a glass from a Korean brand! It was a familiar, comforting touch in the middle of Hong Kong. Talk about a pleasant surprise!
04. Payment Options

Dim Dim Sum accepts various payment methods, including credit cards, cash, and the convenient Octopus Card.
However, a quick check of Google Maps reviews reveals that some visitors have reported issues with Visa card payments. To avoid any unexpected hiccups during your Hong Kong trip, consider getting an Octopus Card!
The Octopus Card is Hong Kong’s version of a rechargeable transit and prepaid card, similar to a T-Money card in Korea or an Oyster card in London. It's incredibly versatile:
It's accepted on all public transportation, including MTR subways, buses, trams, and ferries, and can also be used for payments at many restaurants and shops across Hong Kong.
