With plenty of spacious tables, you won't have to worry about long wait times, and the seating is incredibly comfortable for groups.

The self-serve side dish bar is fully stocked with mouthwatering, fresh kimchi so you can grab as much as you like.

The cabbage kimchi here is absolutely legendary. It has the perfect kick and pairs beautifully with the hot noodle soup.

Since we had a late breakfast, we decided to order the 2-Person Seafood Kalguksu Set (which comes with tender boiled pork, giant dumplings, and soft drinks) and added 3 extra portions of seafood kalguksu.

You can choose between a clear, mild broth and a spicy broth. Because my grandfather prefers mild flavors, we opted for the clear broth.

As soon as we ordered, the staff brought out our dining utensils and bowls.

The Star of the Show: Seafood Kalguksu

The Clear Broth Version

After a short wait, a massive pot loaded with fresh shellfish and hand-cut noodles arrived at our table.

The noodles were incredibly chewy and had the perfect bite.

The scallops and clams in the soup were incredibly plump, fresh, and sweet.

My dad loves spicy food, so we were slightly torn when ordering the mild broth. However, the incredibly kind staff brought us a generous side of spicy seasoning paste (dadaegi) and chopped hot peppers!

This allowed us to enjoy the clean, comforting mild broth first, and then customize our individual bowls into a fiery, spicy version later. It was the best of both worlds!

The secret to their incredible broth lies in their 45-year-old seed soy sauce and premium doenjang that has been aged for over two years. The depth of flavor is unmatched, so I highly recommend trying both the mild and spicy versions to experience the full spectrum of taste. 👍🏻

Tender Suyuk (Boiled Pork Slices)

To be honest, since this is a noodle specialty house, I didn't have massive expectations for the suyuk (boiled pork). But it blew us away!

It was incredibly tender, juicy, and completely free of any gamey odor.

You can enjoy a slice on its own to appreciate the subtle, savory seasoning,

or wrap it up in fresh lettuce with garlic and ssamjang for the ultimate bite.

What made the suyuk experience even better was the exceptional freshness of the wrap vegetables. We later found out they grow all their greens themselves! The crispness was on another level. 🧡

Giant Steamed Dumplings (Wang-Mandu)

The set came with five massive, plump steamed dumplings.

True to their name, these dumplings were huge and packed tight with a savory meat and vegetable filling. My grandmother absolutely loved them!

While the restaurant is famous for its noodles, every single side dish, the pork, the dumplings, and the house-made kimchi were absolutely flawless.

We were eating so enthusiastically that I forgot to snap a photo of the drinks, but they serve generous bottled sodas to wash it all down. Truly a perfect meal! ✨️

The staff here is incredibly kind and generous—they didn't hesitate to refill our fresh wrap vegetables. Every dish was prepared to perfection.

My grandfather and dad couldn't get enough of the rich seafood noodle broth, my grandmother fell in love with the giant dumplings, and my mom adored the tender boiled pork. It was a memorable, heartwarming family meal in Anmyeondo that we won't soon forget.
