Dalat Must-Visit: Gemination Bar

I've been to Dalat, Vietnam, three times just in 2025 alone. If you count my trip in 2024, before it became widely known, that makes a total of four visits! On my second-to-last trip, on the very last day, I stumbled upon a newly opened bar. It wasn't one of those hidden gems tucked away in a charming alley, which I usually prefer. Instead, it was a brand-new spot right on a main street, quite openly visible.

At first, I didn't even realize it was a bar because it had no sign. It was clearly a new establishment I hadn't seen before, and from the outside, the ambiance looked pretty inviting. My usual cautious self, who prefers to research reviews and photos on Google Maps, would have just walked past (which was impossible anyway without a sign to search for!). Or, if I'd been with a friend, I might have just told them to go check it out. But my 'duty' as a travel blogger gave me a burst of courage, and I walked in without knowing anything about the place.

Wow... the dimly lit atmosphere was incredible! There weren't many people around either. I immediately thought, 'I have to come here, I have to write about this!' I even started thinking about blog post titles like 'The Bar with No Name,' bubbling with excitement. This discovery became a significant reason for me to return to Dalat. Since it was the last day of my trip and I had other plans, I only explored for a short while, promising myself I'd come back.

And just two months later, in early 2026, I was back in Dalat, Vietnam, again! Haha!

Stepping inside, I noticed the lighting was a bit brighter, and it was bustling with more customers. I felt a slight pang of disappointment that the quiet, intimate vibe I'd loved was gone, replaced by a livelier crowd. But considering the stylish interior and prime location, it made perfect sense.

I can only assume that when I first visited, it was in a soft opening or pre-opening phase.

Fantastic Atmosphere

It spans three floors, and the third floor was the most tranquil. I even spotted someone working on a laptop – a great spot for digital nomads!

The second floor was also quite busy.

I personally loved the small detail of how the lights were placed, illuminating every other step on the staircase. I don't know why these small details always capture my attention!

Cocktail prices here are on the pricier side. That one drink I mentioned earlier was 250,000 VND, which is roughly ~$9. Despite the changes from my initial discovery, I still think it's a pretty cool spot. It's definitely worth a visit for a night out in Dalat, Vietnam.
