My blog's special feature:
Content that transcends time and space
The date was November 6, 2024...
All the way to Sydney, Australia,
to see a Coldplay concert!
Actually, ever since my working holiday in Australia back in 2013,
Australia has always been my favorite travel destination in my heart.
After my travel plans were forcibly canceled due to COVID,
the skies finally opened up, and my schedule aligned perfectly.
So, as I was thinking, 'Should I go to Australia in 2024?'
it just so happened that Australia was on Coldplay's world tour schedule!
Just a little TMI, I booked my concert tickets and flight
all at the same time!

WORLD TOUR
@SYDNEY ACCOR STADIUM
#coldplaysydney
The concert was held for four days
at Sydney's Accor Stadium!
Next February, BTS will also have a concert at the same venue!
💜
These awesome sisters saw the concert
right on the day they arrived in Australia!
Gate opening times,
show start times,
and end times – the entire timeline was
available to check on the dedicated Coldplay app,
which was incredibly convenient!
Haha, there were so many people at the Hyatt
who also came for the Coldplay tour,
and we got to show off our Korean merch!
travelling to the coldplay concert?
What was really amazing was...
When I searched for Accor Stadium
on the map app,
it actually showed concert info for public transport! How cool is that? 💜
Coldplay's concert philosophy is all about
environmental friendliness,
so they encourage using public transport.
If you had a ticket,
all trains and buses were free.
The cooperation from the City of Sydney
felt incredibly impressive at the time!
Are you watching, Goyang?
Step up your game and put in some effort!
Even the destination display screens on the train showed 'Coldplay',
and their music was playing! So, the two Asian girls
couldn't hide their excitement on the train.
It felt like the announcement was, 'Our train's final stop:
COLDPLAY!'"
Sydney Olympic Park
Accor Stadium
Ah, the skies of Sydney, I miss them already!
There was a supermarket within walking distance
of Accor Stadium, which was great for grabbing snacks or drinks.
Energy drink? Check!
And there were food trucks around the venue too!
(Açaí bowls were SO expensive, though...)
The chia seeds got stuck in my teeth so much,
it almost became an emergency!
Concert merch: the ultimate highlight!
It was such a struggle to get Coldplay merch back home,
(The Sydney concert actually happened before the one in Korea)
Thinking back, I'm so glad I got it when I did!,,
Hoodies, short-sleeve tees, ponchos,
Hats, sling bags, and more!
The general merchandise was the same,
but only the country-specific t-shirts
had different city names or landmark designs.
(I'll show my haul at the end of the post! ^.~)
There wasn't just one merch booth, by the way,
there were several locations,
so even if one spot runs out of stock,
no worries!,,
Just check out another booth ^.~
Those cute 'love' buttons, too,
weren't available at the first booth I tried,
but I got a whole bunch at a different booth!
Oh, the excitement! My heart was pounding!,,
Finally, it was time to enter!‼️
Upon entering,
we received our Xylobands and Moon Goggles!
There was even another merch booth inside the concert venue.
KAOTICA LOUNGE
If we were back home, it would be like
a 'Cubic' or similar VIP section.
The entrance zone was different for these,
and I wonder if that VIP lounge
also offered alcoholic beverages?
They even wrapped the elevators!
It really added to the excitement!,,
My section, you ask?,
It was Section 112.
Among the rather tall and robust Sydney crowd,
I figured standing might be a bit much for me,
so I played it safe and got a seated ticket.
But looking at the standing section from my seat,
it seemed more spacious than I expected,
and I actually thought it might not have been so bad to be in the standing area after all...?
My view from Section 112!

SHAUN
Emmanuel Kelly
Ayra Starr
(Ayra, I even voted for you on Melon!)
Hey~~
We want some party!~~
SHAUN getting the crowd hyped!
And Emmanuel Kelly, overcoming his challenges,
was really impressive performing on stage!
As for Ayra,
from her seemingly delicate frame,
her energy was absolutely incredible!,,

But still, it can't beat Seoul...
As time went on,
the seats were gradually filling up at
Accor Stadium.
The sun started to set,
just before the concert was about to begin!,,
A snap with my Seokjinnie, who came all the way from Korea with me!
Sydney Accor Stadium
Accor Stadium Capacity
Accor Stadium,
capable of holding over 83,000 people!
Sydney was buzzing with over 80,000 fans!
I wonder if a Paris concert feels like this too...
For a BTS concert,
even if the ground seating is quite different,
I still imagine it would be over 60,000 attendees...
Just because I've now experienced Accor Stadium once,
I went ahead and booked tickets for Melbourne!
February 2027, Melbourne – just you wait!
I'm coming for you!
Coldplay
My Sydney Concert Recap!
Then, a narration began...
With subtle, ethereal lighting,
Chris, Will, Jonny, and Guy appeared!
T_T My heart just burst!
I missed my favorite band in the entire universe so much!
Coldplay, you guys!!!
Paradise
Para para~ Paradise!
Para para~ Paradise! (The second verse!)
The Scientist
The Scientist
Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part...
No one ever said it would be this hard
Now I pretty much know all the lyrics by heart,
please do another tour...!
Ohhh-oh-oh-oh-oh~~~
Ohhh-oh-oh-oh-oh~~~~
Viva La Vida
Will Champion on the drums, seriously,
he's absolutely presidential material!
Hymn for the Weekend
Yellow
It's already been a year since Chris's visit to Korea,
and he's looking even sharper and more handsome now!
Back in Korea, he was like that cool uncle wearing his hat backward
and singing "Apartment" (a Korean classic)!
Hahaha!
Even then,
I was such a 'scaredy-cat' when it came to international tours that I didn't even dare to try for consecutive seats,
so I just ended up grabbing seats nearby in the same section.
Hahahahahahahaha!
Miranda, lol!
Were you completely overwhelmed with emotion?
Your back view is just too funny!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Guy & Jonny...
I love you all, everyone!
People of the Pride
Clocks
The way the Xylobands change color with every song and stage section
is truly a wondrous moment every time I think about it!
One of my favorites,
"we pray"
For the first time in years, even though it wasn't a BTS song,
it was even the song I used as my phone's ringtone!
It's a song where guest artists also join in,
and in Korea, a Korean version was released, sung with TWICE!
Something Just Like This
My Universe
"Everybody okay?"
Ughhhh T_T
I'm NOT okay...
As soon as this song came on,
tears just started flowing from me,
this ARMY girl from South Korea right here!
The moment Jungkook's voice rang out,
it was truly
WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH T_T
Guys, T_T I'm right here! T_T
A Sky Full of Stars
And then Coldplay moved to the C-stage.
My section was a little closer to the C-stage
than the main stage.
For this Australia trip,
I even upgraded my phone to a Galaxy Ultra,
so now it's 'pro time' – let that telephoto lens do its magic!
My heart felt all warm and fuzzy...
They said the Galaxy Ultra was perfect for fangirling,
and the Galaxy isn't to blame,
but my hands are the real culprit...
(I really want to buy the new Fold model, though!)
Fix You
Feels Like I'm Falling In Love
"Feels like!"
(Clap clap!)
"I'm falling in love~~~"
Clap, clap, clap!
You really have to nail the rhythm!
When you look through these 'moon goggles',
the whole world turns into hearts!
There are about three types of these moon goggles,
like heart, star, and... what was the third one?
Your ticket money,
is absolutely paying off!
Oh nooo!
As the fireworks burst, it was such a shame the concert had to end...
BELIEVE IN LOVE
I believe in love!
Truly spreading love all over the world,
Coldplay, the Love Wanderers
Even as the crowds started to thin out,
the concert's magic lingered.
The Amyranda sisters, unwilling to easily leave the venue,
stayed to capture some last photos.
After a roughly 10-hour flight, we might have been
worn out,
but our spirits weren't!
Everyone else might have left,
but I'm still here!
Back in Seoul, at Jamsil,
we were still shouting "Oooooh~"
even as we left the venue.
Sydney, however, embraced us with the romance of its jacarandas.
Even though it was late, past 11 PM,
they increased the train services!
It felt like they were on standby;
as soon as one train filled up, the next arrived,
and as one departed, another pulled in.
So, we managed to get back to the city quite comfortably.
The Sydney train staff,
who gave us a thumbs-up when we told them we'd come all the way from Korea just for the concert,
and those who opened the gates just by showing our tickets—
they were all such angels!
Compared to the subway chaos after the Goyang concert back home,
this was practically limousine service!
Sydney, you were truly amazing!
Coldplay Concert Merchandise Haul!
Three short-sleeved t-shirts, including two exclusive Sydney designs,
a hoodie, a poncho...
T-shirts were $65,
hoodies $140,
ponchos $25...
But hey, we didn't buy a hat,
didn't buy a bottle either,
didn't get a bag,
and even resisted the 'I love who I love' tee...
So, I'd say that was a relatively restrained merch purchase!
Even though the sisters happily splurged a good portion of their savings on this merch,
it was an absolutely joyful tour!
After our Sydney tour,
we even attended 5 out of their 6 concerts when they came to Korea...
So, when are you touring again,
To: Chris, Will, Jonny, Guy...
We miss you, so please come back soon!
