Usually, we all start planning our trips
about 1 to 2 months in advance, right?
Taiwan is an amazing destination to visit between March and May,
so today I want to share a Taipei hotel
that I absolutely loved (and was so incredibly pretty! 💛)
Even though I wasn't eligible for the Taiwan Tourism Lucky Draw at the time,
this hotel was still my absolute number one choice that I just had to book! ✨

01. Hotel Introduction

Located right near Taipei Main Station, it offers incredible accessibility.
It's a great value hotel that you can book starting from around ~$64!
Most of all, it's famous for its stunning, uniquely Taiwanese city views.
📍 Location
- No. 3, Section 1, Zhonghua Rd, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100
✅ Within a 10-minute walk from Taipei Main Station
- Situated right between Taipei Main Station and Ximending, you can easily
walk to both areas during your stay.
✔️ Being close to Ximending, which is like the Myeongdong of Taiwan, makes it perfect for eating and exploring,
and having Taipei Main Station—the central transit hub—so close is a huge bonus.
It's located right on a main street, making it super easy to find!
✅ Specifically, the airport MRT station
is just a 7-minute walk away,
making it incredibly convenient to get around
from your very first day to your last.

The self-check-in process is super smooth and easy.
(And the staff are always right there to help you out)
Luggage storage is also available.
But the absolute best part?
We arrived at 12:00 PM, and they let us check in early!
I was so surprised because it was the earliest check-in I've ever experienced at any hotel!

The room with the gorgeous city view is the
Premium Double Room (with view),
and you can book it starting from around ~$128!
(I stayed during the off-season for around ~$64 per night)
❌ Note that the standard rooms start around ~$64,
but they come with "no view"! Keep this in mind when booking.

It looked exactly like the photos online!
As soon as we walked in, we couldn't stop gasping at how beautiful it was. 🤭
You already know taking photos here is an absolute must, right?!
Since it rains quite often in Taiwan...
if the weather is nice, make sure to snap your photos immediately!
(I was so sad because it got cloudy on our second day. ㅠ_ㅠ)

📌 Turn Off the Lights
To get a shot without any glare,
you need to turn the lights completely off! 📷
Don't panic—just adjust the lights before you shoot!
📌 Special Requests / SO IMPORTANT! ⭐️
The soul of a city view is a crystal-clear floor-to-ceiling window...
But some rooms actually have black lines running across the glass! ㅠㅠ
So, I highly recommend making a special request to the hotel in advance
to avoid getting one of those rooms! ☺️
📌 Low Floor vs. High Floor
Low-floor rooms focus mainly on the city street views.
High-floor rooms are all about the river view!
(I think the high-floor rooms are a separate, slightly pricier category.)
It all comes down to personal taste,
but I absolutely loved being on the 6th floor!
Watching the cars glide down the street below felt so mesmerizing.
📌 The Room
At 15 square meters, it's not super spacious,
but thanks to the massive window, it feels incredibly open
and never cramped or stuffy. (Note: there’s no sofa.)
📍 Bathroom
There's no separate bathtub,
and the sink is located outside the main bathroom area.
Everyone said a shower filter is a must-have in Taiwan, so I brought one...
but during my stay, it felt like a waste of a filter because the water was so clean! ㅠㅠ
📌 Hygiene & Cleanliness (During My Stay)
Given Taiwan's humid climate, I heard you can sometimes find
cockroaches even in 5-star hotels...
So I read tons of reviews beforehand.
I did spot a very small number of reviews
mentioning bugs, which made me a bit anxious.
Fortunately, I didn't even see a single fly!
The room was absolutely spotless. So good!
(If I had seen one... I would've cried 😭)
03. Amenities: The Lounge
📌 The Lounge on the 2nd Floor
Super spacious and clean!
They serve breakfast in this 2nd-floor lounge,
but I didn't add it to my booking.
Instead, I grabbed takeout nearby and ate it here.
Takeout from Yong He Dou Jiang
It's within walking distance, which is amazing!

Even if you don't purchase the hotel breakfast,
you're free to use the lounge area.
I highly recommend bringing your takeout here to enjoy!
