Harmony Riverview Hotel Chongqing 2026: Affordable Two-Room Stays
Planning a trip to Chongqing with friends or family? We found an amazing two-room hotel, Harmony Riverview, that offers fantastic river views and a central location without breaking the bank.
As our group consisted of three explorers,
our top priority was finding a spacious two-room accommodation.
Initially, we looked into places like
Mountwell and Ashiam.
While they're popular for their fantastic value,
I personally wasn't entirely sold on their somewhat "Chinese restaurant-esque" (?) interior.
I was hoping for something a little different....

But then, I stumbled upon the Harmonie Riverview Hotel!
It offers two rooms at a surprisingly affordable price,
the location isn't far from the bustling Jiefangbei,
and the rooms looked absolutely spotless – it was an easy choice!

Chongqing is renowned for its breathtaking nightscapes,
so naturally, many travelers seek out river view accommodations.
What truly set this hotel apart was its ability to offer both a spacious two-room layout and stunning river views at such an incredible price –
talk about killing two birds with one stone!
It was the ultimate win-win.
If you're planning a trip to Chongqing with a group of three or a family of four,
you absolutely have to check out this hidden gem!
Harmonie Riverview Hotel Location

✔️ About a 40-minute drive from the airport
✔️ About a 10-minute drive to Guanyinqiao
Getting to Jiefangbei by taxi was a breeze,
which meant we could effortlessly dive into all our planned excursions
without any major hiccups.

The neighborhood surrounding the hotel offers a wonderful local vibe,
a refreshing change from the typical bustling tourist centers.
If you're someone who prefers a more authentic, less crowded experience,
you'll absolutely love it here!

When exploring mid-range hotels in Chongqing,
you'll often discover that they don't always occupy an entire building.
Instead, many are nestled within mixed-use complexes or large towers,
with only certain floors beautifully transformed into hotel accommodations.
Harmonie Riverview Hotel operates on a similar concept.
With several hotels sharing the same building,
it might feel a tad confusing when you first arrive.
But don't you worry, finding it is absolutely manageable once you know what to look for!

Check-in: 15:00
Check-out: 12:00

Check-in is on the 36th floor.
If you add them on WeChat during check-in,
you can just message them for anything you need later on.
WeChat has a translation feature, so
no worries if you write in Korean!!
There are also more than 5 elevators, so
even though it's a high-rise building,
you won't have to wait long.

The room we booked was a
270-degree Riverview 2-Bedroom Suite.
If you're looking for accommodation in Chongqing,
you might notice numbers attached to the room names.
180 degrees: An entire wall of the room is a window.
270 degrees: A 'ㄱ'-shaped (L-shaped) view spanning two directions.
It's easy to understand it this way!

If you're dreaming of that incredible panoramic window view you often see on social media,
I highly recommend the 270-degree Riverview room!!
The main room features L-shaped panoramic windows.
You can even spot Liziba Station in the distance,
and I loved being able to just lie in bed
and soak in this view.

There were convenient outlets right by the bed,
but remember to bring a universal adapter!!

The beds were spacious and comfortable – plenty of room to relax.
The other room was also almost the same size as the main room,
just with smaller windows,
so the room itself definitely wasn't cramped.
Since there are two rooms,
three of us could stay comfortably,
and it's definitely spacious enough for a family of four or a group of friends.

While there isn't a separate wardrobe, there's a clothes hanger,
and the room is quite spacious, so you can easily spread out your luggage and still have plenty of space.
Overall, it wasn't a major inconvenience at all.

One of the best things about this place is how incredibly spacious the living room is.
It's absolutely perfect for groups or families staying together!

The bathroom features a shower stall,
and amenities include body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
However, remember to pack your own toothbrush and toothpaste, as they aren't provided.

The washbasin area is located just off the living room.
This space is quite generously sized,
which I actually found quite appealing!

You'll be happy to know that food delivery is also available to this accommodation.
Just make sure to correctly enter the hotel name and your room number when you order,
and they'll bring your delicious meal right to your door!

One minor drawback, though, is that
they use an electric water heater.
This means you don't have an unlimited supply of hot water....
At least, that was my experience during my stay.
However, the usable time for hot water in one go was
around 30-40 minutes,
which was still enough for three people to shower consecutively without running out.
But if there are four of you showering one after another, or if you like to take long showers,
or generally use a lot of hot water,
you'll need to factor in some time for the water to reheat between uses.
It's definitely good to know this beforehand, as it could be a bit surprising if you're not expecting it,
so it's always best to be prepared!
Price & Discount Tips
When I visited, it was ~$102 per night.
I made my reservation through Trip.com.
I recently checked a Thursday-Sunday itinerary that included one day of the October holiday,
and guess what? It was around ~$51 per night???
For a two-room suite, isn't that an incredible deal?!
Since it's not a traditional full-service hotel,
I personally recommend opting out of breakfast
and either ordering delivery or dining out instead!
If a scenic view isn't a top priority for you, there are also basic two-room options available,
You might even be able to book it for less!
This fantastic spot
is currently only bookable on Trip.com!

While there are many two-room accommodations in Chongqing,
after actually staying here,
I found the location to be excellent and the value for money truly unbeatable!
If you're looking for a place for 3 or 4 people,
I highly recommend comparing this option too! :)
