Raffles City Skywalk Chongqing Review 2026: Tickets & Viewpoint Tips

During my Chongqing adventure, I explored a spot renowned for those unforgettable 'life shots' –

the incredible Raffles City Skywalk.

I'm excited to share my firsthand experience with you!

1. Chongqing Raffles City

Where to Find the Skywalk?

Raffles City is a signature landmark of Chongqing,

located at the breathtaking intersection where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet,

and it's a must-visit shopping mall & mixed-use complex.

It's famous for being designed by the same architect who created Singapore's Marina Bay Sands.

Its massive scale, abundance of fantastic restaurants, and endless shopping options make it

a truly essential stop on any Chongqing itinerary.

After getting your tickets checked at the 1st floor (L1) entrance,

you'll take a dedicated high-speed elevator up to the 47th floor,

where you can experience the outdoor observation deck and all the thrilling attractions.

2. How I Solved the Ticket Payment Hurdle Before Entry

(and you can too!)

I arrived around 3 PM.

There were already quite a lot of people at the entrance.

Raffles City is absolutely massive, so I actually got a bit lost trying to find the Skywalk entrance.

Look out for the Gundam Base store right in front – it's a great landmark!

It turns out there are a variety of attractions available!

Even if you only purchase the basic admission ticket (exhibition pass),

you can still access the Sky Mirror (天空之境), which serves as both the outdoor observation deck and the main photo zone.

However, for experiential attractions like the Skywalk (Walk in the Clouds), Sky Swing (Flying in the Clouds), and Sky Traveler (Sky Explorer),

you'll need to purchase a package (set ticket) that includes admission to experience them!

The entrance sign clearly listed the admission fees (prices) and had a QR code for purchasing tickets.

However, I found that using a Korean phone number made it incredibly difficult to proceed with things like app registrations for Chinese applications.

Looking around, I noticed quite a few other people were also feeling confused, probably thinking 'Huh? What is this?' or 'What do I do?' just like me.

When I asked a staff member, they kindly advised that tourists should purchase tickets through Trip.com.

I opted for the [Admission Ticket + Skywalk] package.

(It's also known as the Cloudwalk!)

Once you purchase, a voucher (QR code) is sent to you immediately.

Just show the QR code to the staff, and you're good to go!

So, don't panic like I did – make sure to purchase your tickets in advance!

Chongqing truly lives up to its name as a city of the future,

and even its dedicated elevators felt like something out of a robot's world!

Just ride it straight up to Cloud Park.

3. My Review of the Skywalk Attractions: Sky Mirror and Even the Bonus Sky Swing!

Once you reach the 47th floor, you'll discover the entrances to each exciting attraction.

I headed straight to the Skywalk entrance and presented my QR code.

Once your QR code is verified, you'll receive important instructions regarding your belongings.

Total Attraction Time: Approximately 40-50 minutes

(This includes time for suiting up in safety gear, securely storing your belongings, and listening to essential instructions.)

You can keep your smartphone (mobile phone) with you if you use the

neck strap provided on-site.

Any belongings that pose a risk of falling, like items in your pockets or bags,

must be stored securely in the designated lockers.

I felt completely at ease knowing they were fingerprint-recognition lockers!

💡 Pro Tip: Using the Fingerprint Lockers

After safely storing all your belongings in the lockers,

it's time to put on your safety gear (harness).

Once you're geared up, you'll ascend about 1.5 floors via the stairs.

Upon reaching the starting point, a friendly staff member will greet you.

They provided explanations, even translating for me into Korean.

The outdoor experience itself lasts 30 minutes,

and it's a one-way course that loops around the railing,

meaning there's no turning back once you start!

There are three unmanned automatic photo stations,

where taking the pictures is free, but downloading them comes at a cost.

We were also reminded not to engage in any dangerous behaviors – safety first!

As you embark on the Skywalk, you'll witness the entire city of Chongqing,

from the majestic Yangtze River to its towering buildings, all laid out before your eyes.

Despite all the safety measures, I still felt a thrilling rush of fear!

However, if you visit in the evening, you can also take in the incredible night views,

all at once, which is why I highly recommend a nighttime visit too.

Since it's a one-way path, if I slowed down my pace,

the people behind me would naturally get delayed too.

I politely asked for patience from those behind me before snapping a few photos.

I even dared to sit on the railing for a photo – talk about a thrilling experience!

The saying 'my knees are shaking' truly applies here – it was that exhilarating!

The panoramic vista truly opened up, offering a spectacular full view of Chongqing's cityscape.

Once I started getting used to the height, I became much more daring!

There was a prominent i♥cq photo zone that instantly caught my eye,

and I immediately snapped a photo – but please, don't try to imitate what I did!

In addition to the automatic photo machines, there were about three other dedicated photo zones,

so here, we patiently waited our turn for sequential photos.

You might be thinking, 'Isn't 30 minutes a bit short?'

but let me tell you, for me, those 30 minutes felt incredibly long!

I was quite nervous moving forward step by step. 😭

After completing the full loop, you'll remove your safety gear,

and then you can retrieve your belongings from the lockers.

And don't forget, you can view the photos taken by the unmanned automatic cameras

and purchase them for a fee.

There's also a resting area where you can sit and pick out your photos.

It was 29 Chinese Yuan per photo, but since none of them turned out great, I passed!

Sky Mirror

If you only purchase the observatory entrance ticket,

you can experience the Sky Mirror.

It offers a wonderful sense of openness, so I highly recommend it.

To experience the Sky Mirror, you'll need to wear shoe covers.

A staff member will guide you before entry.

The Sky Mirror offers a different feeling than the Skywalk.

The transparent glass floor is well-maintained, giving you a clear view.

This is definitely an activity worth trying in Chongqing.

It's perfect for families and couples alike.

There are also many reviews of people watching drone shows from here!

Sky Swing

As for the Sky Swing (Cloud Flying),

unfortunately, I didn't get to try it myself.

But I did get to watch others enjoying it while I looked around.

It probably feels like riding an amusement park ride,

but I don't think I could handle that one!

4. Ride Requirements for Each Attraction

Outdoor attractions (Skywalk, Sky Swing)

may be temporarily suspended during adverse weather conditions such as rain, strong winds, or thunderstorms.

If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, are pregnant, or suffer from acrophobia,

it's best to check the availability of outdoor high-altitude attractions in advance.
