If you catch a red-eye flight to Taipei,
you'll likely reach the city center around 1:30 AM to 2:00 AM.
At that hour, you just need a comfortable place to crash.
Today, I'm reviewing a budget-friendly spot I booked solely for a quick sleep,
but it totally exceeded my expectations.
Let me introduce you to
CHECKinn Express Taipei Station.

Checkinn Express Taipei Station Check-in: 3:00 PM Check-out: 11:00 AM Phone: +886225590577 Address: No. 64號, Taiyuan Rd, Datong District Taipei City, Taiwan 103 |

The hotel is located just north of Taipei Main Station,
about 0.4 miles from the Kuo-Kuang airport bus drop-off point.
It's roughly a 10-minute walk,
which is super manageable even with luggage. Plus, with nearby fast-food joints
and 24/7 convenience stores, the area feels relatively safe and active at night.

They offer a convenient self check-in kiosk,
but there's also a staff member on duty 24/7 for added security and assistance.
For reference, I booked a weekday stay for around ~$42 per night,
making it an incredibly affordable option.

The self check-in kiosk supports multiple languages, including English,
making the process entirely seamless.
If you run into any issues,
the friendly front desk staff is ready to walk you through it.
Check-out isn't until 11:00 AM,
so even if you arrive at 2:00 AM, you can still get over 7 hours of solid sleep.

Simply select your booking platform on the screen,
and enter your reservation number to confirm your stay.
I highly recommend having a screenshot or printed
booking confirmation ready to go.

Next, you'll scan your passport for ID verification.
If you've prepaid online, there are no additional charges,
and the machine will automatically dispense your room keys.

Two key cards will drop into the tray below.
Once you have them, your check-in is complete!
Just a heads-up: when checking out,
you just hand these two keys back to the staff.

The lobby is fairly spacious, though seating is somewhat limited.
There is a water dispenser available,
so you can easily refill your travel bottles whenever needed.

The overall vibe of the hallways
feels a bit like a traditional roadside motel.
However, unless you're booking a luxury five-star property,
this is quite standard for budget accommodations in Taipei.

Inside, the room was surprisingly bright and welcoming,
feeling much more like a solid mid-range business hotel.
It was spacious enough to fully open a large suitcase on the floor,
and came equipped with a plush bed and a small dining table.

With a compact closet, indoor slippers, and a mini-fridge,
the room felt incredibly clean and well-appointed for the price.

In-room amenities included bottled water, an electric kettle, fast Wi-Fi,
disposable toiletries, instant coffee, tea bags, shampoo, and body wash.
They really provided all the essentials you could need.
Note that Taiwan operates on a 110V electrical system with Type A/B outlets.
This is standard for North American travelers, so you won't need a plug adapter if coming from the US!

The bathroom featured warm brown tones and felt quite modern.
Both the toilet and sink were spotless,
and it was fully stocked with four towels, a bath mat, a hair dryer, and soap.
Nothing was missing from the setup.

Another detail I absolutely loved
was the separate bathtub.
Because the shower is enclosed within the tub,
you don't have to worry about flooding the bathroom floor.
Even though I just needed a place to sleep, this Taipei hotel
offered such incredible value that I'd gladly stay here again.
It's rare to find such clean, spacious facilities
in the ~$42 price range right in the city center.
Plus, it's located near fantastic local breakfast spots
serving traditional soy milk and Taiwanese rice balls (fantuan),
making it easy to grab a quick, authentic bite before starting your day.
If you're arriving on a late flight and need a reliable place to crash,
or if you're simply hunting for a budget-friendly stay, I highly recommend it!
It's about 700m from the Kuo-Kuang Bus stop, taking approximately 10 minutes on foot. Staff are present even in the early morning, ensuring safety, and self-check-in is available using a device that supports Korean.
Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Even if you check in at 2:00 AM, you can stay for more than 7 hours until the check-out time of 11:00 AM.
Rooms are equipped with space to open luggage, a comfortable bed, a dining table, a wardrobe, and a refrigerator. Basic amenities such as water, a coffee pot, Wi-Fi, disposable items, shampoo, body wash, and a bathtub are also provided.
Taiwan uses 110V electricity, so you must bring a 'pig nose' (Type A/B) adapter. Near the accommodation, there are local breakfast spots like 'Yi Ji Dou Jiang' and Fantuan restaurants where you can enjoy simple meals.
