Türkiye Travel with China Southern Airlines & Mileage Accrual
My China Southern Airlines flight departed from Gimpo.
On the way there, I had a layover in Beijing. Since the stopover was less than 24 hours, I was eligible for a complimentary hotel stay in Beijing.
It was like getting two trips in one: Türkiye and Beijing!
While China currently offers visa-free transit for many nationalities, at the time of my trip, a temporary transit visa was required, which I obtained.
After exploring Beijing, I continued my journey to Türkiye.
Although China Southern Airlines offered a hotel in Beijing, I opted to use my layover for some sightseeing in the city instead.
The flight to Beijing was about 1 hour.
Then, an 11-hour layover!
And finally, a 10-hour flight to Türkiye.
China Southern Airlines, as a partner airline, allows mileage accrual depending on your booking class.
You can accrue miles when you fly or even after your flight.
