Hey there, fellow travelers! It's your favorite global explorer sharing a late-night discovery.
Today, I'm diving into the spot that turned my casual love for milk tea into an absolute obsession:

🥤 Who is Chagee perfect for?
✔︎ Die-hard milk tea lovers
✔︎ Skeptics who want to give milk tea one last, life-changing chance
✔︎ Foodies searching for their all-time favorite cup of tea
✔︎ Anyone with a layover or extra time at Pudong Airport Terminal 2

Located right in Terminal 2, this Chagee branch is an absolute lifesaver if you're catching a red-eye flight or arriving in the middle of the night. Since it operates 24 hours, it's always ready to welcome weary travelers.
Landing around 2:30 AM, almost all the surrounding airport shops were completely dark. Chagee, however, was brightly lit and impossible to miss—a true beacon of hope for late-night arrivals!

Even in the dead of night, the counter was staffed with two to three efficient team members, meaning my order was prepared and handed over in record time.

While the storefront looks spacious and modern, keep in mind that seating is extremely limited. It's designed primarily as a grab-and-go spot! 😂
The Chagee Menu

The menu features clear English translations, making it incredibly easy to navigate. If you're feeling overwhelmed by the choices, simply stick to their Top 5 list for a guaranteed win.
I had my heart set on trying their most legendary creation: the "Bo Ya Jue Xian" (Jasmine Green Milk Tea).
Now, I usually despise floral-scented drinks—they often taste like perfume to me. When I saw "Jasmine" on the label, I hesitated. In a moment of caution, I downgraded my order from a Large to a Regular size. Oh, what a mistake that was...

For reference, a Regular size of the Jasmine Green Milk Tea is 18 RMB (about ~$2). Payment is seamless—just scan the QR code at the register using your Alipay app. I ordered two cups for 36 RMB (about ~$5).

They also offer a selection of pastries and desserts. However, given it was 2:30 AM and I had a hotel breakfast waiting for me in a few hours, I decided to pass on the food this time.

What did catch my eye, though, were the beautifully designed tea bags and tumblers. They make incredibly chic, high-quality souvenirs!
If you miss out on buying Chagee merchandise during your city travels, this Terminal 2 Departures branch is your perfect final opportunity to grab some gorgeous gifts before heading home. ❤️
Bo Ya Jue Xian
The Famous Jasmine Green Milk Tea

Let's talk about the taste. First of all, the packaging is stunning—it feels premium, artistic, and distinctly cultural.

The cup was sealed meticulously to prevent any spills during transit. ❤️
And then, I took my first sip... and immediate regret washed over me.
Massive, deep regret.
Why on earth did I only order a Regular size?!
Yes, you can taste the jasmine. But it is so beautifully balanced, incredibly smooth, and absolutely delicious. There is zero artificial perfume taste—just pure, refreshing harmony.
I remember seeing a viral clip of K-pop star Wonyoung looking completely mind-blown after trying this milk tea, and I wondered if it was just hype. Trust me, after one sip, I understand her reaction 10,000,000%.
It is incredibly good. You MUST try it!
Pro-Tip: Join a Travel Community Before You Go

When preparing for my midnight arrival at Pudong Airport, I struggled to find reliable English guides about airport safety, overnight stays, or late-night food options. I had no idea this 24-hour Chagee branch even existed!
If you ever find yourself struggling to find niche travel info or needing real-time help during your trip to China, I highly recommend checking out local travel forums like the Chinalog community. It's an incredible resource for crowd-sourced tips, transit updates, and hidden culinary gems.
✔︎ Final Verdict on Chagee Pudong Airport
While I only tried the signature Jasmine Green Milk Tea (Bo Ya Jue Xian), it easily earns a 10/10. Order the Large size—don't make my mistake!
If your itinerary is packed, make it your very first stop the second you step off the plane at PVG. ❤️
I kept searching for other locations during my city tour, but they weren't as common as I expected. When you see a Chagee, grab a cup immediately.
Please!
Everyone talks about Heytea and Chagee being the top rivals in Shanghai, but for me, Chagee wins by a landslide. ❤️
