Centara Life Phu Phano Krabi Review 2026: Quiet Ao Nang Stay

When planning a trip to Krabi, choosing where to stay is always the biggest dilemma. On my recent trip, I stayed at the Centara Life Phu Pano Resort. It's slightly tucked away from the main Ao Nang street, making it wonderfully peaceful.

I'm here to share my honest review of this resort, which truly hits the sweet spot for both value and location!

1. Why I Chose This Hotel

While planning my Krabi getaway, I had quite a few accommodation candidates, but I ended up choosing this hotel for two main reasons.

First up is the location. It's about a 5-minute drive or a 15–20 minute walk from the main street of Ao Nang Beach.

Even though it's not right in the middle of the bustling main strip, it meant we could enjoy wonderfully quiet, restful nights. Whenever we wanted to head out, we could just use the resort's shuttle service or other budget-friendly ride options, so it didn't feel inconvenient at all.

If it were completely isolated, I might have hesitated, but this distance felt just perfect.

The second reason was the view. The view of the towering limestone cliffs from the swimming pool looked so quintessentially Krabi in the photos.

In reality, that gorgeous view followed us everywhere—from our balcony to the pool area. It created a unique tropical vibe that you just can't get in Bangkok or other cities.

But what's even more surprising is the price of this resort.

You can book a Superior Room starting around ~$19, and even a Family Room starts from just ~$45! I did a quick price comparison between Agoda and Trip.com based on the exact same dates.

So, it's always smart to compare both sites before booking and lock in the sweeter deal!

3. Room Review (Superior Pool View King)

The room I booked was the Superior Pool View King. The bed was incredibly plush, and the clean, minimalist interior design was right up my alley.

If I had to pick just one standout feature of Centara Life Phu Pano Resort, it would definitely be the view.

With the stunning mountain views right from the bed and a private balcony, the room feels open, airy, and anything but cramped.

Just below, you can see the sparkling pool, which adds to the exotic tropical landscape. Let me show you what it looks like!

The room size was surprisingly spacious for the price. It had everything from a vanity desk to a dedicated luggage storage area.

A safety deposit box and hair dryer are provided, along with other essential amenities like an electric kettle and bottled water.

The mini-fridge was clean and kept our drinks nice and cold.

The shower and toilet area were reasonably spacious and conveniently separated.

A glass partition divides the toilet and the shower area to prevent water from splashing, and the water pressure was great too.

Also, just a quick heads-up: the shower area has a curtain that you can slide open and closed.

4. Outdoor Swimming Pool

To use the pool, you just need to do a quick check-in with your room number, grab a fresh towel, and you're good to go!

The pool area was quite popular with travelers, and I spotted several guests soaking up the sun and enjoying a nice tan.

It’s a decent-sized pool, making it a wonderful spot to swim laps or just lounge and unwind.

There's a photo spot here that reminded me of some trendy photo zones back home, though it felt a tiny bit daring since there weren't any safety railings!

With the dramatic limestone cliffs as your backdrop, the outdoor pool is incredibly photogenic. It was so relaxing to splash around while taking in those breathtaking views.

5. Breakfast

Breakfast is served daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Since Krabi is famous for its island tours, the restaurant can get quite busy right before the popular morning pick-up times. I highly recommend heading down early to beat the rush!

To be honest, the breakfast buffet isn't massive and doesn't have an endless variety of options.

However, you can order freshly made egg dishes or customized salads just the way you like them.

There was a decent selection of pastries and breads, along with yogurt and cereal to start your day on a light note.

With options like fried rice and basic hot dishes, it’s easy to put together a satisfying morning meal.

The absolute highlight was enjoying breakfast while gazing out at the stunning limestone mountain views. Considering the affordable price and great location, I felt really good about choosing this place!

6. Useful Tips & Info

There is a tour desk right on the first floor, so you don't have to wander around looking for local travel agencies to book your excursions. Even if you arrive without a set itinerary, it's incredibly convenient to explore and book your trips directly at the hotel.

Also, if you want to head into the heart of Ao Nang, you can take advantage of the hotel's shuttle bus. Here is the daily schedule:

The pick-up and drop-off point is Ao Nang Center. Since seats are first-come, first-served, it’s a good idea to book your spot at the tour desk in advance. Make sure to arrive at the lobby at least 5 minutes before departure!
