During my trip to Krabi, I stayed at three different accommodations, and among them, the one I booked specifically for a quiet, rejuvenating soak in a jacuzzi was none other than Ban Phubara Retreat.
If you're like me and prefer a private villa away from the noisy main streets, then definitely consider this for your travel plans!

1. Why I Chose This Accommodation (Including Price)
Tired of the cramped, impersonal vibe of those typical big beachfront resorts, this time I wanted to find a unique and soulful accommodation completely surrounded by forests and mountains.
First, I highly recommend checking out the view!
I had several accommodation options in Krabi, but ultimately decided on Ban Phubara Retreat for two main reasons.
First up is the location. |
It's slightly set back from the main street of Ao Nang Beach, which means I could relax in peace without any of the bustling city noise.
It's about a 5-minute ride by Grab or Bolt, and the accommodation also offers shuttle/taxi services.
The second reason was the jacuzzi. |
The private jacuzzi on the balcony was truly what set this place apart from other accommodations.
I even brought bath bombs, and it was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend it for honeymoons or couples.
(I bought the wine, fruit, and snacks at a large supermarket.)
So, what's the price?
For a private room including breakfast, you can stay for around ~$58 per night.

2. My Review of Ban Phubara Retreat
I stayed in the Premium Room (Jacuzzi) with a King bed. The price varies depending on the bed size in each room.
The bed was perfectly plush, which I loved, and the subtle lighting created a wonderful ambiance.
With rattan decor and a bohemian vibe throughout, every corner is aesthetic, so you can snap a beautiful photo just by sitting down anywhere.
Overall, the warm wood tones combined with cozy lighting made it incredibly comfortable at night.
There were plenty of power outlets conveniently located by the bedside, making it easy to charge my electronics while relaxing.
Across from the bed, there's a smart TV. After a relaxing jacuzzi session at night, turning on the air conditioning and watching Netflix or YouTube was pure bliss.
I received a welcome drink which was wonderfully refreshing. Basic kitchenware is also provided.
There was a separate kitchen space available, which was super convenient for whipping up quick drinks or late-night snacks.
And the best part? They even had wine glasses!!
The fridge was also powerful, keeping our canned beers and fruits perfectly chilled.
Plus, there was a microwave, so we could heat things up and enjoy them right away.
The area connecting the kitchen and living room wasn't small either,
and it had a partition door.
The interior had a beautiful wood tone, which created a calming atmosphere throughout,
and there was even a vanity table.
Inside the wardrobe, you'll find a hairdryer, an umbrella,
indoor slippers, and even bathrobes – everything you need!
The bathroom wasn't small either; it was a good, moderate size.
What I really loved was that the shower area was separate!
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even basic amenities were all well-provided,
ensuring a comfortable and refreshing stay without any inconvenience.
If you're looking to make special, unforgettable memories in Krabi,
I wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation!

Having a Seven Eleven convenience store and a large supermarket nearby
was incredibly convenient for grabbing late-night snacks or drinks whenever we needed them.
Beyond the convenience stores, there's also a supermarket called Makro Food Service that's open until 10 PM.
It would be perfect for enjoying the jacuzzi with fresh fruit and wine, just like I did!
3. Breakfast + Accommodation Tips ⭐
Breakfast here is a traditional bento box delivered right to your balcony at a pre-arranged time each morning.
Enjoying it at the terrace table with the majestic mountain view in the background felt just as luxurious as a 5-star hotel buffet – maybe even better!
From cereal to fresh fruit and omelets,
the menu is thoughtfully curated with options that everyone will love.
The bread wasn't soggy either, which was a nice touch.

you can truly savor your meal without feeling rushed.
