Calo des Moro Mallorca Guide 2026: Parking & Tips | TRVLOGUE

Make sure your bags, electronics, suitcases, and everything else

are safely stowed in the trunk,

completely out of sight from the windows

before you lock up and walk away.

Since it's a 1.4km walk

all the way to Caló des Moro,

you'll want to minimize what you carry by hand.

But if you leave valuables exposed inside the car like you might back home...

they will get stolen. Every single thing.

So, if you’re on your honeymoon

or traveling with lots of luggage,

I highly recommend spending a little extra

on a secure private car tour.

2. How to Get to Caló des Moro from the Parking Lot

When you first set off from the parking lot,

you’re basically just walking down a paved road.

You might start wondering, "Is this actually the right way?"

But yes, you're on the right track, so keep on walking! ^^

Leave the parking lot

→ Follow the flow of people

→ Look out for the signs pointing towards Caló des Moro

Once you pass the residential streets and the stone-walled path, you’re almost there!

As the ocean view slowly begins to open up,

you’ll reach this dirt trail section.

Since everyone is dressed similarly and walking the same path,

it's super easy to navigate! ^^

(Though the walk can be a bit tiring.)

Right next to Caló des Moro is

the stunning Cala s'Almunia beach!

Once you spot this, you’re basically there!!

There are massive, flat rocks here,

so it was packed with locals enjoying some cliff diving.

The trail itself isn't too complicated,

so expect about a 15 to 20-minute walk

from the parking lot to the beach.

3. The Final Stretch is the Real Deal

When it comes to Caló del Moro,

the final descent is where things get real.

Why?

Because it’s super rocky and steep,

making it really tricky to find solid footing!

In photos, it looks like a quick, easy stroll down,

but in reality, one wrong step

and you could easily slip or take a tumble.

I actually scraped my knee climbing back up the rocks 😭

Getting down and back up safely

is the absolute priority here!

4. Packing List & Essentials (Most Important!)

✔️ Water Shoes

Flip-flops slip off way too easily,

and slipping on wet rocks or losing your footing underwater is a recipe for disaster!

Water shoes make stepping into the water effortless

and protect your feet from sharp rocks, so they are an absolute must!

Forget Crocs—

something snug that hugs your feet is the way to go!!

We wore ours from Ballop, and they were so lightweight and comfortable.

✔️ Waterproof Phone Pouch

It’s a very crowded beach,

so leaving your phone unattended on the rocks... you know what could happen, right?

Keeping it secured in a waterproof pouch around your neck

is definitely the safest bet!

✔️ A Small Picnic Mat, Newspaper, or Plastic Sheet

At Caló del Moro,

you won't find a wide, sandy beach to lounge on.

There's a 90% chance you'll be perched on a narrow rocky edge!

Plus, the ground is actually...

not the cleanest,

so having a compact mat to sit on makes a world of difference.

Since we didn't have a mat,

we ended up sitting on the plastic bag we used to carry our swim ring 😭 lol

✔️ Waterproof Bandages & First Aid Kit

Because the path is steep and rocky,

it's very easy to get minor scrapes or cuts.

After scraping my own knee,

I realized this is a non-negotiable for next time.

You’re here to enjoy your dream getaway (or honeymoon!),

so getting hurt or losing your belongings is the last thing you want, right?

Double-check your packing list and make sure you’re fully prepared!!!

Caló del Moro Beach isn't necessarily

a difficult path to navigate,

but rather a place that becomes tough if you go unprepared.

Booking a water sports tour

will make your beach experience even more memorable,

and make sure to pack water shoes, a waterproof pouch, and waterproof bandages

for a much safer and more comfortable adventure!!
