🇪🇸To pick up a rental car directly at Mallorca Airport,
after comparing Hertz, Wiber, and Record go, we ended up using Record go.
From the airport kiosk pickup to the actual condition of the Toyota Yaris,
including refueling before drop-off and the key return process,
this is an honest, 'my money, my review' of our direct experience.

While preparing for our Mallorca trip with my partner,
one of the first things we thought about was transportation.
Our accommodation for our 3-night, 4-day trip to Mallorca was
Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy Residences,
and from Mallorca Airport to our accommodation in Manacor,
it was about 50km on the map, roughly a 40-minute drive.
While we could take an airport bus to Manacor,
we'd have to travel according to the bus schedule,
change buses midway, and it would take over 2 hours;
carrying large suitcases would have been very difficult.
So, we decided to pick up a rental car directly from the airport! 🚘
Comparing Mallorca Rental Car Companies
The companies we compared before booking were
Hertz / Wiber / Record go
When I made our booking, Hertz
was significantly more expensive than the other two companies,
and while Wiber had reasonable prices and good reviews from Koreans,
the need to take a shuttle from outside the airport was a concern.
We ultimately chose Record go (Record go) because it had reasonable prices and allowed us to complete the paperwork inside the airport, then head straight to the car collection area without needing an external shuttle!
It also had many reviews from Koreans,
and its app interface was clean, making the booking process super convenient! ✨
Record go Official Website Booking Conditions
We made our reservation through the Record go official website,
and since manual cars are quite common in Europe,
we made sure to check the Automatic filter first when searching for a vehicle.
Initially, we considered a Toyota Yaris Cross,
but since we only needed space for our luggage when traveling between the airport and the accommodation,
we opted for the slightly more affordable EDAR class Toyota Yaris.
Our actual rental conditions were:
3-day rental / Just go Full Coverage
Total Comfort Premium Coverage
The final payment amount was 96.94 Euros.

[Mallorca Car Rental Record go Full Coverage Booking Review]
Mallorca Airport Kiosk Pickup
The Record go counter is located inside Mallorca Airport,
making it easy and convenient to find after arrival.
Since we had already completed Easy Check-in when we made the reservation,
on-site, we first used the kiosk,
and then a staff member confirmed the details.
Kiosk check-in was super convenient!
Besides the amount we paid online,
the contract also showed an Amount pending payment
of 75.17 Euros.
We paid this additional amount on-site with a credit card, like a deposit.
It wasn't a standard car security deposit,
but rather seemed to be a fuel deposit for the full-full condition.
If you return the car with a full tank later,
the payment will be canceled within a few days-!
Once check-in is complete, follow the map on the screen
and head out of the terminal to the Record Go Pickup Office.
Once at the Record Go Pickup Office,
just show the staff member the contract you received via email, and you're all set-!
Finally, our car keys are in hand!✨
The kiosk screen during check-in showed it,
and the contract also specified where the rental car was parked,
with a Bay No. so we just had to go to that number.
Our Real-World Review of the Toyota Yaris
The category we booked was EDAR,
and the car we actually received was a Toyota Yaris.
It was my first time driving a hybrid car,
and its compact size was just right,
making it perfect for navigating the narrow roads in Mallorca.
The car's interior was clean overall,
so there was nothing particularly disappointing about the car's condition or the driving experience!
Bluetooth connectivity was available, so we could enjoy music while driving.
The most important thing: trunk size.
With the back seats folded down,
two 24-inch suitcases fit perfectly,
and we could even place our backpacks on top of them.
However, the suitcases were visible through the rear window,
but since we only loaded luggage when traveling between the airport and our accommodation,
it wasn't a big issue for us-!
Having a rear-view camera was super helpful for parking!
Tips for Refueling Before Rental Car Return
The car we booked
was received with a full tank of gas,
and had to be returned with a full tank – the Full-to-Full fuel policy.
If the fuel was insufficient upon return,
there could be additional refueling charges.
So, from the moment we booked, we made a note to
fill up at a nearby gas station within 10km of Mallorca Airport.
✔️They say you should do it within 5-10km of arriving at the airport
to avoid extra fuel charges upon return.
✔️On the rental car's fuel cap,
there's a label indicating the type of fuel to use,
so be sure to check before refueling.
✔️For the Toyota Yaris, the fuel cap release button
is located to the left of the driver's seat – !
We spent quite a while looking for it too! 😉
✔️Keep your fuel receipt just in case,
and even take a picture of it – !
✔️A few days after returning the car, the deposit we paid on-site
was fully refunded 100%, and no separate fuel charges were incurred.
Still, to make sure the refund was processed correctly,
I kept checking my credit card statements periodically.
Record Go Return Location and Method
If you just search for 'Record Go' or 'airport' on Google Maps,
you might find it difficult to locate the actual rental car return entrance.
Other reviews mentioned people missing the return entrance
and having to drive a big loop.
We also took a wrong turn at the end and had to circle back! 😉
It can be confusing if you just set 'Airport Record Go' as your destination,
so I recommend saving the location below beforehand
and navigating directly to this pin – !

Mallorca Airport Car Rental Return Entrance Location
This isn't exactly a link to the official Record Go branch, but rather
coordinates close to the airport's rental car return entrance.
So, near the airport, don't just rely on your navigation system;
also look out for signs that say 'Car Rental' or 'Rental Car Return'
– !
The return process was also surprisingly simple!
Just park the car anywhere in the designated return area,
tell a staff member your parking spot number, and hand over the keys – that's it!
From booking on their official website to picking up and returning the rental car,
Record Go made the entire process seamless 🚗.

An additional €75.17 was charged on-site via credit card as 'Amount pending payment'. This is a fuel deposit under the Full-full fuel policy. If you return the car with a full tank, the payment will be cancelled within a few days.
The final payment was €96.94 for a 3-day rental with Just go Full Coverage (Total Comfort Premium Coverage). This was the confirmed amount when booking on the official Record Go website.
To avoid additional fuel charges upon return, it's recommended to refuel completely at a gas station within 10km of Mallorca Airport. Also, make sure to check the exact fuel type indicated on the rental car's fuel cap and keep the refueling receipt.
With the rear seats folded down, two 24-inch suitcases fit perfectly, and backpacks could also be placed on top of them. However, it's worth noting that the suitcases were visible through the rear window.
To avoid missing the return entrance, it's recommended to save the coordinates 39°32'44.8"N 2°43'38.5"E (39.545778, 2.727361) in advance. Near the airport, in addition to your navigation system, you should also look for 'Car Rental' or 'Rental Car Return' signs.
