Let me share my experience revisiting Caesar Metro Taipei,

covering everything from booking tips, location, room conditions,

to the pool and breakfast at this highly popular Taipei hotel.

1. Booking Caesar Metro Taipei

Taipei is known for compact hotel rooms, and because of the humid climate,

it can be hard to find rooms that feel fresh and clean.

But this highly recommended Taipei hotel stands out

as a budget-friendly 5-star property,

complete with a fantastic swimming pool!

While nearby Ximending is bustling and lively,

much like a crowded city center,

the Wanhua District, where Caesar Metro Taipei is located,

is a charming blend of traditional local culture and modern vibes.

If you're coming from Taoyuan International Airport,

just take the purple Airport MRT Express to Taipei Main Station,

transfer to the Blue Line (Bannan Line),

and it's just one stop away. You'll arrive in about 50 minutes!

It's located about a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Longshan Temple Station

on the MRT Blue Line.

It's super close to the iconic Longshan Temple and Huaxi Street Night Market,

making it easy to explore the surrounding sights on foot, especially in the evening.

It really elevates your Taipei travel experience!

We spent our first three nights at an older 3-star hotel

in the heart of Ximending,

and saved our final night for Caesar Metro Taipei

to wrap up our trip in comfort.

The room quality was noticeably superior,

and it was wonderful to relax quietly in a well-maintained hotel

with a pool to reflect on our journey.

It was absolutely wonderful.

I booked through Agoda.

During the off-season on weekdays, you can get a Superior Twin Room for two

starting around ~$64 per night,

which is an absolute steal!

For a weekday stay for two, including breakfast, I was able to book a room

for around ~$96 per night,

though prices can go up to around ~$128

on weekends or during peak season.

Even a Family Quad Room for four

can be booked for around ~$64 without breakfast,

so if you venture just a little bit outside of Ximending or Taipei Main Station,

you can easily stay in an incredibly budget-friendly,

5-star Taiwan hotel room with a window

that offers amazing value.

2. Room Condition & Amenities

This was my second time visiting this Taipei hotel in two years,

and they've completely remodeled the entire place!

It felt so much cleaner and fresher.

The front desk on the 1st floor looked so much more chic,

and when I arrived quite early in the morning before check-in,

the staff greeted me with a warm smile and stored my luggage for me.

Self-check-in is also an option,

but when I returned to check in during the evening, the lobby was pretty quiet,

so the staff helped me check in right away.

Our room was on the 15th floor.

Last time, the carpeted floors made my nose a bit itchy,

but this time, the newly remodeled Superior Twin Room

featured sleek hardwood floors, which I loved!

At 26 m², the room was super spacious—even with two large suitcases

fully opened, there was plenty of room to walk around.

With two comfy single beds right by the window, my husband and I both

got a fantastic night's sleep.

There were power outlets everywhere, and with USB charging ports

right next to the bed, it was incredibly easy

to keep all our devices fully charged.

There was a cozy two-seater sofa right in front of the bed.

It was so nice to stretch my legs out, pull up the table,

and work on my laptop comfortably.

I also rested my feet on the pretty-colored body pillow

to ease the fatigue from walking all day.

The toilet and the shower area with a bathtub

were separated,

and the vanity sink was also placed outside

for super convenient access.

The mirror had bright built-in lighting, making it so easy to apply makeup.

Along with a sleek hair dryer,

an electric kettle, cups, and tea bags were provided,

plus a handy mini-fridge was ready to use.

True to its 5-star rating, the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, body wash,

and hand/face wash amenities was fantastic—

way better than other budget-friendly stays in Taiwan.

Just a quick heads-up: as of December 2025, the Taipei hotels

we stayed at have started restricting

single-use items for environmental purposes,

just like the eco-friendly initiatives in Korea.

Make sure to pack at least your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb,

or plan to buy them once you arrive.

Definitely keep this in mind!

Especially in the case of Caesar Metro Taipei,

Just a heads-up: there's a water dispenser on every floor,

so bottled water is not provided in the rooms.

3. Hotel Amenities & Facilities

The buffet restaurant where we had breakfast is located on the 5th floor.

It's open from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM,

making it super convenient to grab an early bite before heading to the airport.

Since Taipei is a foodie paradise with endless dining options,

we only booked breakfast for our last morning

just to keep things stress-free before our flight.

They had a live station where they cook fresh eggs and noodles on the spot,

alongside a wide variety of classic hotel breakfast staples.

While most dishes were pretty standard, crowd-pleasing options,

it was really fun to see such a diverse range of beverage choices!

Since this Taipei hotel is very popular with Japanese and Korean travelers,

they offered Japanese and Korean dishes alongside traditional Taiwanese eats,

allowing us to enjoy a colorful and diverse morning feast.

There’s a mini Starbucks right on the same floor,

and a historic Starbucks branch just a short walk away,

making it incredibly easy to grab your daily coffee fix!

The swimming pool, which guests can enjoy freely,

is located on the 8th floor.

You can access it by heading down a flight of stairs from the gym.

Even though it was December, it was still open—

though it was a bit too chilly and rainy for anyone to take a dip during our visit.

There’s also an indoor kids' play area called the "Fun Tent" that guests can use freely,

making this a fantastic place for families traveling with children.

4. Wrapping Up

And that’s my review and recommendation for this centrally located,

easy-to-access Taiwan hotel with wonderful window views!

The Caesar Metro Taipei is a clean, budget-friendly 5-star hotel with a pool.

It's surrounded by amazing spots loved by locals,

and the room conditions are wonderfully fresh and clean.

While it sits slightly outside the bustling heart of Ximending,

being right in front of the station makes traveling a breeze.

Most of all, seeing how budget-friendly it is, I can totally understand

why it has been a go-to favorite for travelers for so long.

If you're planning a trip focused on the city center,

I highly recommend stepping just outside Ximending

and staying at this relaxing 5-star hotel in the Wanhua District.
