With an early morning ferry departure to Tsushima Island on my agenda, I needed a convenient place to stay near Busan Port. My plan was to spend a night in Busan and then head out.

While there are hotels closer to Busan Port, I found Nampo-dong to be a much better option for exploring and enjoying an evening out. Plus, Button Hotel Busan offered fantastic value and was still incredibly close to the port, so it was an easy choice!

A crucial tip for travelers in Busan: buses generally don't allow large luggage or suitcases. So, if you're traveling with a big bag, a hotel near a subway station is an absolute lifesaver.

Button Hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Jagalchi Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Proximity to public transport is always a win, whether it's for home or a hotel!

Although I arrived on foot, I noticed they have a spacious parking lot. So, if you're driving, you won't have to worry about finding a spot.

The lobby on the first floor was a pleasant surprise! They had complimentary coffee, water, soft drinks, snacks, and even cup noodles available for guests. It felt like walking into a mini convenience store, but everything was free!

They also provided thoughtful amenities like contact lens solution, rewetting drops, and panty liners – small touches that make a big difference, especially if you forgot something essential.

I was assigned room 601. As soon as I opened the door, a spacious sofa and coffee table, large enough to stretch out on, greeted me on the right. Across from it, there was a computer, a vanity table, and a refrigerator.

Opening the fridge, I was delighted to find four bottles of water! After traveling in Japan where bottled water often comes at a cost, this was a truly welcome sight. If you need more, you can always grab extra from the first floor.

Diagonally opposite the sofa was a king-size bed, perfectly spacious for two people. It was incredibly comfortable!

They even offered two types of pillows – a softer, lower one and a firmer, higher one – so you could choose what suited you best. The bedside outlets were also super versatile, allowing me to charge my phone, power bank, and even my camera without any hassle.

I was so busy exploring Busan that I didn't get a chance to watch it, but there was a large, approximately 50-inch TV positioned at the foot of the bed.

The bathroom layout was a bit unique. To the left of the door, the bathtub, shower, and sink were arranged side-by-side, while the toilet was conveniently separated on the right. It was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious.

Amenities and a hairdryer were provided, though I found the hairdryer's airflow a bit weak, so drying my hair took a little longer than usual.

I booked a standard room through Agoda. Interestingly, I noticed Button Hotel listed on popular Korean booking platforms like Yeogi Eottae and Yanolja, but their prices were significantly higher, ranging from ~$28 to ~$35, with a much later check-in time of 08:00 PM!

It's a strange phenomenon when local hotels are more expensive on domestic platforms, isn't it? 🤔

Both when I booked and as of my writing this review in 2026, Agoda consistently offered the best price at around ~$22, along with the earliest check-in time. So, if you're planning a stay, I highly recommend booking through Agoda!
